Walgreens in Hazlet

Pharmacy is simply awful. I walked in as I was on hold to speak to the pharmacy about my child’s prescription. The staff in the pharmacy were talking as the phone ran and no one thought to pick up. I hang up and was told to wait another 20 minutes from the 2 hours I have already waited. No sense of urgency or customer services

While I understand the frustration with the pharmacy being closed on Sundays, the pharmacy team is always doing their best to work with me to make sure I get my needed medications and work around that closure. The pharmacy staff here is excellent and goes out of their way to make sure I have what I need, and don't make judgements on certain medications as I've experienced with other pharmacies, especially the Walgreens in Port Monmouth. I have a chronic illness and have had multiple surgeries, so the kindness makes a big difference when I'm already feeling my worst. I appreciate the effort the team here makes to answer all questions and build relationships with the community. Of course, they also take the brunt of people's anger when the insurance companies won't cover something or a doctor hasn't called something in yet- I've seen it so many times, and they try their best to explain the situation so the people understand, all while taking the heat for things they have no control over. I appreciate how they make an effort to always say hello and ask how I am, even when they're busy and just got done with a person yelling at them for something they can't control. It shows how professional they are that they don't let one negative customer ruin their interactions with the next.

Walgreens on Poole Ave in Hazlet is your place to go if you need medications filled timely by the friendliest and kindest people! Don’t wait! Transfer your scripts there and you won’t be sorry!!!! Special kudos to Megan, for dealing with all of my challenges and thanks to Anthony and Amy for being so sweet!

After having an awful experience at cvs with a Covid test. I came here for one and let me say what a difference! I came to the drive-thru and the lady was super friendly and explained everything to Me . we even had some laughs and just made the experience very pleasant. The way she explained everything was so professional and she genuinely cared. I wish I remembered her name I'm so sorry, but I was in and out of there within 7 mins. Such great customer service!!!

The only pharmacy I will use! Anthony (the main pharmacist) is kind and does everything he can to accommodate my needs when I'm going on vacation-a situation that can be very stressful when your daily meds are due to refill while you're away! Angela and Meg are the best pharmacy techs around and always know exactly what I need when I come in. They really go the extra mile- one of my medications was low on stock so they called me before my refill was due to let me know they were back ordering it, giving me the chance to either transfer the rx to another walgreens or wait it out. I really appreciated the heads up and was able to plan accordingly. The only downside is that this pharmacy is closed on Sundays, which can sometimes pose a problem. Again though, Anthony does his best to work with his patients/customers to solve any problems before they become pressing issues. They are adding to the staff so there may be some growing pains there with the new fill in pharmacist who is a little too stiff and uncompromising, but I feel that it's just her trying to do her best as she learned in school. With more on the job training and getting to know the pharmacy's regular clientele, she may relax with time. The store itself is my one stop shop for so many of those little day to day things, and it's always clean. The cashiers are friendly and floor staff has always been happy to help me find things. Being part of a family of 5, 3 of which have chronic medical conditions, I end up here at least twice a week and I'm happy to support this location, even though there is another one literally down the street. Anthony, Meg, and Angela make all the difference and always treat me and my family with respect, no matter what! I can't say enough good things about them!

I don’t shop at this location very often because there’s another Walgreens just a few blocks away from my house, but when I do shop here, I always find what I need. For prescriptions, I currently use this pharmacy for only 1 medication. Again, the location is slightly inconvenient for me, but I’ve certainly never had a problem. I’ve actually used the Medicine Shoppe on Hwy 36 in Hazlet for over 20 years. The pharmacists are wonderful, there’s a great “small-town” feel, and they offer free delivery. About a year ago, I requested a refill on something, but there was a bad snowstorm and their delivery truck got stuck. Rather than ask me to wait, they offered to have it filled at another local pharmacy that had the medication in stock. I agreed, and that’s how I ended up with this 1 prescription at Walgreens. Since I haven’t had a problem, I’ve never bothered to switch it back.

Ordered a gift for my parents same day delivery, was delayed ( they emailed me a delay), was confirmed they had it… when I got there, they couldn’t provide me half of the gift and didn’t have the frame I wanted for the other half. I …
