Went in to pick up prescriptions and to exchange 4 DVDs out of the 8 purchased due to not having slip covers - as pictured on order at time of purchase. First associate was a young man who greeted me promptly and offered to assist and was ok with me going to electronics to see if product was still available. Only 1 of the 4 was in stock with slip covers so I returned with it to the customer service desk to find the young man waiting on another customer and a young lady offered to help. I explained the situation, and she attempted to do the exchange/refund and said her system was down maybe because she could not do the exchange/refund. I handed over my phone which had the order with pictures pulled up, offered her my Target Red Card which she said she did not need it, then asked for it later. The young man interjected and suggested using the second register, which she did not offer to do, simply told me that I would have to take them back with me. After she did not attempt to call for supervisor, I asked for customer service number, went outside the store and placed the call. Customer service rep, Grace, was most helpful, apologized, initiated the refund over the phone and told me to not return the items but to donate them, destroy them or keep them. I told her I could take them back into the store and leave them and she again told me not to. Customer service rep was excellent, however, as a customer with invoice, packaging intact, etc., the disclaimer on the back of the invoice that states, "fast, efficient and easy refunds/exchanges" is inaccurate to say the least for this location. The customer service rep, Grace, focused on a solution and the resolution was above my expectations and was appreciated.
