I had the absolute worst experience tonight. The self checkouts were open, and they're usually closed when I shop, so I haven't used them before. The pink haired lady working at the self checkouts came up behind my husband and began yelling as he started scanning items, embarrassed and berated him because he had more than 15 items in his cart. There was no sign that said "15 items" but she immediately came at him like he was doing something wrong, and told him to leave the area. When I walked over to see where the sign was for "15 items" she started yelling at me too! I wasn't even trying to use the register, I was just looking for the sign. Once I realized what the problem was, I said that we have 30 items and there's 2 of us, can we just go through separately and she said no. I told her it was illogical for us to wait in line for the one cashier, when the self checkouts were open and nobody was using them. It was 9:45pm, not like the store was busy. The supervisor came over and all he could do was point to the sign. No wonder I didn't see it, it was just a sign sitting on the floor. So we waited in line for 20 minutes to checkout our 30 items, while zero customers used the self checkout. First of all, use your critical thinking skills and realize it doesn't make sense to make people wait in line while the self checkouts are open and available. But more importantly, speak to other human beings, to paying customers, with basic human dignity and respect. Just because we overlooked a sign ON THE GROUND doesn't mean that we were trying to break all your rules and ruin your day. We will never be back to this store. Can't believe she's treating the self checkouts like it's airport security. Leave the area? Are you kidding me? More like leave this store forever.
