Five stars for this most perfect date night!
After a gorgeous, scenic drive along the Columbia River, flanked by a panorama of snowy capped mountains, ancient forests and the breathtaking blues of the river, we came up to Savannah's studio which is an old converted saw mill machine shop. Equal parts gritty and funky, artistically inspiring (there is art of all mediums literally everywhere you look!) and cozy, running parallel to a train track who's passing train whistles add an air of romance and mystery.
If you have never touched clay before and feel a bit intimidated by the process or if you, like me, threw once in high school ;-) Savannah is the teacher who will coax the potter out of you and help you to realize it was there all along. Her easy going, down to earth charm makes the experience fun, comfortable and more like spending time with an old friend.
Next time you're dying to get out of the city but don't know what to do once you've left, here's what. Go to Wild Domestics pottery and throw down. You'll be so glad you did!
