Museum is quite small, but very nice and inexpensive. Group it with a visit to the Audubon next door, and the Traveler's coffee house which is adjacent, for a full afternoon. The museum had plenty of parking and there is nearby walkable shops and restaurants....Read More

We went for a day trip and walked through the cute little quaint town of Ocean Springs. We made our way to the museum and it was absolutely lovely. The artwork and all of the stories combined. It was a wonderful experience.

A peaceful and educational way to spend an afternoon. Plentiful information on the artistic foundation of Ocean Springs concerning Shearwater and The Anderson's legacy. I like to think it's like taking a walk through a beautifully mad artist's mind.

We had an amazingly peaceful time at WAM. Right next to the gift shop, you can enjoy a full length film from Mississippi Public Broadcasting, which sets the whimsical tone of the museum. For a man that traveled all over from New Orleans to China,...Read More

Surprisingly good little museum, highlighting the biography and artistic eras of local artist Walter Anderson. It's interesting to see how many different style and media he explored, and the influences of both his life and historical art movements on his work, much of which is...Read More

I have so many big feelings that words won't do justice. I was born and raised in central Mississippi, in an impoverished area to an impoverished family. Art and literature are what gave me purpose and the strength to leave. Visiting the Walter Anderson museum...Read More

Great museum about eclectic local artist Walter Anderson. I took the new audio your that provided an extra insight into his life. Unfortunately there was an event in the community center and I wasn't able to see the mural. Little room was very cool though.
