Read MoreJanuary 6, 2025 - This used to be a decent store but has gone majorly downhill. Tonight, I went into the store to price headlights and buy a few other items. I purchased two headlights only because it provided free installation, as it was getting dark outside and one of my headlights was out. Apparently, I did not read the incredibly small fine print that the free installation expired last week at the end of the year. They wanted to charge me $20 for both headlights and I asked if they would honor the sign. She asked the manager and he said he would not honor it even though the sign was still up. I have never in my life come across a store that refused to honor a sign. Usually, they will honor it for the last customer and remove the sign immediately. I couldn’t believe it! What kind of manager do you have that refuses to honor something? What kind of customer service is that? I pay for Walmart+ but I’m seriously rethinking it this year. This is the second time in one week I’ve had a terrible experience at Walmart. Anyways, I returned the headlights. I drove less than a mile to the AutoZone on Flat Rock and got LED headlights AND free installation for $10 cheaper than it would have been if I paid the $20 installation at Walmart. Just be warned that they will not honor signs they forgot to take down and it’s cheaper elsewhere for better quality lights.

I went back. Two people working were so helpful and wonderful to me. They did their jobs well and helped me out. As far as the headlights, I’ve was told at another Walmart in town that if there is a sign still up, they are supposed to honor it for one headlight, but not both. I still don’t agree with the store managers decision here or how rude the employee at the vehicle service area was, but I will say some of the employees do their jobs well. This Walmart seems to also be the last to discount any clothing items. I have shopped all the other Walmarts and got amazing deals on sweaters, while theirs are still over double the price.
