This was on 3/14/2025 approximately from 3:20pm to 4:38pm at the customer service counter.
The only reason I'm giving 5 stars is because of the amazing service I received by Sara, the stores GM Coach. She was perfect picture of how customers should be treated when they run into rude, and awful customer service reps who treat customers about as bad as it gets.
I came in to return a vacuum that had issues. I couldn't find my receipt....but they found my purchase on my credit card. The cashier Davida or Davina (she was wearing a blue mask) basically shot back rudely, "it shows returned already, so we can't return it". I said, "Ummm......its on the counter in front of you, so how is it returned"? She rolled her eyes and got another girl that was a customer service manager, short and heavy set with tattoos, and she basically told me there's nothing they can do and to call 1-800-WalMart....with a total attitude. I asked for a manager and I was told by Davida "no, because she wont do anything because our policy that she made is no returns on anything over $50 without a receipt". I asked for a manager again, and again, I was told no and the same thing, this time by the tattooed girl. I was given dirty looks snd eye rolls.
So I said, there's nothing you can do? And those two girls rudely said no and to call 1-800-WalMart. I think said "I bought one, returned it because it broke down, and got a refund, and immediately bought another so maybe that's the issue. They didn't even care to talk anymore. They just called other customers to the counter to help them. Since they blew me off, I called 1-800-WalMart. They were no help. I was given bad information and then was told to insist on talking to a manager while Walmart was on the phone.
This is where Sara came in. She listened to me tell her what had happened at the customer servive counter and wasn't happy about how rude the girls were. Sara then said she would help me. We had a few laughs about some off subject things, and she made me feel like I mattered......unlike the other 2 girls who acted like I was bothering them and they were doing their best to try to get me to leave by being rude and Ignoring me. Sara did so much to help me, and ultimately returned my vacuum for a gift card stating it was probably a computer glitch. Why couldn't the other 2 rude girls have thought this? I even told them it had to be an error because how can I return something I had on their counter that was clearly not returned!
Sara instructed Davida to process my return and get me a gift card. She ignored Sara and continued helping another customer which the tattooed girl was in process of helping. Unfortunately, Davida was rude to that customer too who had been double charged $25 at self checkout. Davida literally threw the customers items she was trying to return, on the counter in front of the customer because the customer was upset about the double charge, and Davida was annoyed. The customer was just showing frustration. The customer told Davida "you don't have to be rude". Davida rolled her eyes and sighed. Then, Davida asked the customer (while the tattooed girl was talking to the customer) "do you want cash or your refund back on your debit card"? The customer didn't respons so again Davida rolled her eyes, heavily sighed, shook her head, and seemed to just process the refund how she wanted to. Davida then stepped to another register, still ignoring me (Sara was 5 feet away) and called another customer to the counter. Sara again told her to stop and to help me. Davida, clearly irritated, asked "can I help you"?. I said "ummm...I have that vacuum you wouldn't return". Clearly irritated, she asked for my ID to process the return, and ultimately gave me a gift card.
Sara was aware of how rude Davida was being to people. As I walked away, the customer who told Davida "you don't have to be rude"
I walked over to Sara and said Davida "was even rude to that lady". It was obvious Sara was well aware of Davida's actions.
Sara is definitely the brightest light in this store. Thank you Sara!!
