My husband and I had our cars serviced on 9/20/24. After checking in, he left to go to work and I waited on the cars. At about 11:05am he sent me the update that his car was ready. I waited for my car to be done so that I could pay for both cars at once. At 11:58am I received the alert that my car was ready. I paid for both cars and proceeded to get our keys. The mechanic whose name I failed to get checked my paper (note I was holding both paid receipts) he looks at the top one, I said I have two cars as he walks away. He comes back and hands me one key and I repeated I have two cars. He said you didn’t say that, looked at my paperwork and walked off. (Why would I not tell you I have two cars when I was standing there literally showing him both receipts.)Once he gave me my keys I had to search for my cars because he didn’t tell me where they were parked. To my surprise I found my husband’s car parked on the side of the building with his passenger window rolled down and doors unlocked. I was FURIOUS!!! This is not the safest area first of all, second why would someone leave the car unlocked with a window completely rolled down. I told the mechanic who gave me the keys what happened and asked who is responsible for this. He was absolutely no help. I asked for a manager he was absolutely no help with that also. I went back inside and spoke to Izzy. He checked to see if a manager was available but apparently the manager was in a meeting. Izzy advised me to check the car to see if anything was stolen and basically if nothing was stolen there wasn’t anything they could do. My thing is this, find out which employee was irresponsible, retrain that person on the basics of protecting customer’s property and liability as well as ensure all employees are trained properly also do a review on customer service skills. If my car or property was stolen due to Walmarts negligence then what?!?! What if I wasn’t there and my husband didn’t pick up the car until after work?!?? Come on Walmart, you have got to do better with training your staff. This is totally unacceptable and I pray no one ever has to experience this or ends up getting their car stolen due to an employee not using common sense.
