Truly, just a terrible experience. They’re so obsessed with preventing theft, you can’t actually buy anything without inconveniencing yourself so thoroughly I may as well just shop online or drive to another store. I see the greeters carefully pouring over and scouring the receipt of someone who bought three items. What a way to make shoppers feel unwelcome.
Not to mention, in order to buy a $3 bike patch kit, I need to hunt down an employee to open this case for me. Of course the call button doesn’t work. They can install an expensive glass case, but can’t make a button function. If you managed to hunt down an employee, you can’t actually take your items to the register. The employee (who is helping three different people at once, since they seem to be the only employee in the entire back half of the store) is required to walk you all the way to the register. I have other things I wanted to buy?? What if I need multiple things out of multiple cases? The employee needs to follow me around? Or am I only allowed to buy one item at a time?
I gave up. It’s literally easier just to shop at target instead. They don’t treat me like a criminal for wanting to fix my bike, or daring to leave the store with my purchases. And I can actually purchase items, instead of having to do a really irritating song and dance to get my hands on a $3 product.
Oh, and I couldn’t even figure out how to make this complaint in store.
Don’t know why anyone would shop here when target is a block away. Save your time.
