The item I came specifically to this location for was Palmetto Cheese Spread, the large tub. The one I could reach expired last August and was still on the shelf to sell. There was another, way in the back. I had to flag down a tall customer and ask if he could reach it for me. He was very kind, and got it down - it had mold growing on the exterior, and had expired mid-October (this is in November!). I told an employee and she didn’t care at all.
As if this weren’t enough, a customer and family had brought in their dog, into the grocery section. The dog was barking, easy to locate. A woman had the dog on a leash walking around the produce department. The dog was not in basket or in any way contained. It’s against sanitation codes to have a dog walking in the grocery store. Don’t get me wrong, I love and have dogs also, but dogs follow a different code of conduct than humans, which makes it unsanitary.
Although the dog was barking, no Walmart employee cared. I told two different employees and neither felt inclined to call security to have the dog taken out of the store. “Not my job!”, one said.
This is just disgusting.
