BUYER BEWARE:
My name is Micah Hemani. I am a board certified urologist. I practice in this community and prescribe regularly to local pharmacies. Yesterday, I received an inquiry from a pharmacist at this location asking that I change a prescription that I sent from the cheapest generic version available to a much more expensive brand name drug. When i called to inquire why, the pharmacist refused to dispense the drug that I requested even though he acknowledged that the only difference between what I wanted filled and what he would agree to fill was the cost of the drug to the patient. Mind you, we are talking about the difference between $1-2 per pill vs $20-$50+ per pill. This is an example of so called healthcare providers price gauging patients under the guise of providing patient care. It's an absolute disgrace and I urge everyone to fill your drugs elsewhere. Unless Walmart provides a satisfactory response to this review in the next 48 hrs, I will be submitting an incident report to the Board of Registration in Pharmacy and the Mass consumer protection agency.
