I have been going to this pharmacy for probably close to 10 years and generally have a great experience here. However, in the past few months one specific pharmacy tech named Nazli has soured my experience. Every time I pick up my prescription from her she acts like she cannot understand what I am saying even though I come here every month for routine prescriptions. So I have to spell out my name every-single-time (just for her mind you the other pharmacy techs understand what I am saying and again they all know me). She has rolled her eyes at me more than once. Today was the final straw. I used my FSA card to pay for my prescription as has been my norm the past year with my new plan that has a FSA. FSA cards are low-tech in that you have to swipe them and can't use tap or insert them as they don't have chips. So they can be problematic and you may have to try to swipe more than once. Well she tried and then rolled her eyes and asked if I had another card. I don't care that the cost of the prescription is only $4 I have over $900 on that card specifically for healthcare expenses so I don't want to use another card and then try to submit for reimbursement. I still did my due diligence and checked the balance online to confirm I had the funds. She walked away while I did this and told me to let her know when I was ready to check out. I was checking out through the drive through so I gestured to the pharmacist when I was ready as it was not that easy to push the buzzer. She came over and I explained to her that there were adequate funds and sometimes you have to swipe the card multiple times and asked her to make sure she was swiping it the right way. She rolled her eyes, sighed and swiped the card a few more times, changing how she swiped it and finally the card went through. She offered no apology for what was really her fault for not trying the card more before just giving me the card back. In fact she didn't even say a word. She just handed the card and my medicine through the drive through window and left. Wow. I have never been treated so rudely by a pharmacy tech staff. I realize you're overworked and it can be busy. I work in healthcare too believe me I get it. But basic human decency goes a long way. Next time if I see her I will ask to be checked out by a different pharmacy tech or the pharmacist. I have patience to wait for another staff member but I have no patience for rudeness.
