I've been trying to give the Walmart pharmacy, Washington Square, Fredericksburg, VA a chance for over 5 years. But tonight was the last straw. During the five years I've filled Rx's with them, they have been out-of-stock on too many occasions and sometimes take days to get the drug (like common antibiotics). There is usually a longer line than CVS used to have, with one teller running around trying to make customers happy but being setup for disaster. I've had a wicked virus for 5 days that finally turned into a fever and swelling in the ears, nose, and throat. The minute I detected the fever, I ran up to my local urgent care who prescribed an antibiotic and steroid. I drove directly to Walmart to fill it, excited to not be in pain again tonight, arrived at 845pm to stand in line until 858pm. The pharmacist told the teller that it was too close to closing. So I left. But I needed the meds for some much needed relief and the more I thought about it the more I boiled. This is MY pharmacy. They weren't closed yet. Just didn't want to get into another transaction. If that had been me at my job, I would have been fired. I WANT THE PHARMACIST WORKING on 11 Feb 2019 at 845pm to be fired for poor customer service. If you let an employee get away with it once, they'll keep doing it again and again. I won't be able to pick up my Rx until I get off work tomorrow late. And I desperately needed the relief. Thanks for nothing, Walmart. YOU ARE FIRED!
