This week I had an experience that most people pray would never happen to them: A patient stabbed me with a dirty needle. I went to the hospital and then went to get my medication at the Waupun Walgreens. The medication is ridiculously expensive, but my workman’s compensation would take care of it. To put a long story short, my workman’s compensation couldn’t figure out some details on their end, and the Waupun Walgreens pharmacy didn’t have the medication. I was panicking. All the pharmacies were closing and my workman’s comp was closing. Dylan (the pharmacy manager) stayed after closing to figure out my workman’s comp situation and get me to an open pharmacy in Sun Prairie that had the medication stocked. He could have very easily called it a day and told himself it wasn’t his problem. But in a moment that I needed somebody to help me and care about me, Dylan stepped up. You were my hero that day Dylan. Thank you for everything you did that day, I’ll never forget that.
