I had a horrible experience with a rude pharmacist at the Walgreens in Mobile AL on Airport and Mcgregor this past Monday night around 9:45pm. I had called previously and been put on hold by a pharmacist after getting through the painful call automation process. The call was dropped. I then called back and asked the pharmacist to please not put me on hold as the call had been dropped previously. I was sick, coughing my head off and needed pulmicort inhaler. I was asking her to check on the availability. When I asked her to not put me on hold, she hung up on me. You cannot believe the frustration and upset this caused me. I was driving 30 miles to this location this past Monday night and wanted to know if the drug was available. I was fighting the automated call system to try to reach a human and first my call was dropped and then I was hung up on.This pharmacist needs to be put on warning. It’s unacceptable to treat customers this way. Secondly, not a single Walgreens in south Alabama had pulmicort 180 mcg inhaler in stock, unbelievable. Third, your automated phone system is a nightmare, when I say “speak to pharmacist” 20 times it should put the call through. The next day I called CVS and they told me which location had the pulmicort and I picked it up. They were friendly, efficient and even gave my dog a treat. When it comes to picking a pharmacy for meds not covered by my insurance you can be pretty sure it won’t be a Walgreens.
