A beautifully curated exhibition of Van Gogh, with much written explanation of his short career, paintings, influences, and nature-oriented outlook. The first part is his artwork and narrative descriptions. The lighting is perfect in this display. Then a large dimmed auditorium-sized room with all of his artworks displayed on the walls in a fountain of shapes & colors labeled as they change seamlessly. Van Gogh's art is perfect for this creative presentation because of his themes, strong use of color and nature.
The next room is a Virtual experience which costs $5 and lasts 10 minutes in which you wear a pair of goggles to look at the virtual art.
The gift shop at the end is nicely arranged and kids can color his artwork there. You can browse all of the interesting items from Van Gogh illustrated bento boxes to pillowcases, placemats, pencil cases or yoga mats. There is a way to have a commemorative photo taken by staff as a souvenir. And if you decide to purchase a souvenir, they are very reasonably priced and you take them away in an astounding decorative bag. Overall, A+ for the entire venue and experience. Highly recommend!
