A true San Fernando Valley staple. This particular store is very well maintained and offers a variety of proucts from Mexico. Many of which I remember as a kid growing up in the small pueblo city of Juarez, Chihuahua in Mexico. The staff were courteous and helpful. I would recommend this establishment especially if you are in need of those ever popular tacos, burritos or a variety of dishes available at their food court. A robust choice of mariscos, sushi, a variety of pan dulce (sweet breads) as well as other products commonly found in popular commercial super markets. There is an acceptable selection of liquor, wine, and beer at competitive prices. They also offer check cashing, money orders, and a variety of other financial services. The only drawback for customers, in my personal opinion, would be the parking. It’s not as small as it was when the establishment was on Victory Blvd and Woodley Ave. but, it’s still rather tight when navigating through it, fortunately it does have an adjacent lot available. If driving, I would avoid traffic hour, as the entrance/exit can be challenging on Woodley Avenue and Sherman Way at traffic hour. Setting that aside, I would recommend the establishment to, not only shoppers who live in the community, but to communities outside of Van Nuys as well. Come out and support one of San Fernando’s original brick and mortar establishments that is family owned and serves its community in a professional, kind and inviting approach. Thank you Vallarta for all of the good and goods you have provided for decades.
