I have yet to try their renowned pizza, as I am a "wood fired oven" pizza fan, so I will definitely keep an open mind. Great selection of products, flexible hours, and fantastic ice. Yes, ice! My husband in an ice aficionado - and he says that the brand that Twin Beach sells (U.S. Ice) is "perfect ice!". Don't make me explain - I can barely understand what my husband is describing and it is just frozen water to me...))
The owner defines "cool" - nothing rattles him! He is polite, professional and knowledgeable. He also computes change "in his head" with efficiency and speed. I admire that - he had good math teachers, but clearly he is a quick study!
The only downside is that every time I stop in for ice or an ingredient, the store is full of men sporting Spartan shirts, but I suppose that is to be expected considering that Twin Beach has an extensive selection of beer, wine, and liquor. Oops, did I write that or just think it?
