Easy parking, wide aisles, bright welcoming space, top notch customer care, delicious staple products (mojito Salmon-for one), pricing is comfortable on most products-- unique items worth discovering-- this trip was a "New" eucalyptus candle and jicama tortillas, a welcome shopping experience.A customer opened her box of strawberry lemon popsicles and gifted me one. Her daughter had asked for and been given permission to buy a box. I commented on a write-up I had seen about how good they are and how few are left in the freezer case. I was not going right home or I would have bought a box. They were behind me in the register and when I tried to see the cost of the product to pay for my popsicle the cashier got over board with what the customer was saying that "I need not pay them". Cashier would not even let me see the price at the register sharing that the women's spouse works at the store and they get a discount. The customer seemed pleased but I waited outside the store (a minute) to pay, then began opening my delicious strawberry lemonade popsicle. Hindsight wished I had waited longer but I got so into the deliciousness and began strolling nearby shops. When I arrived home wished I had given the female customer and her daughter one of my Penske spice pouches, valued at a few dollars. My heart was full of gratitude and STILL wanted to share, even moreso over time. I'm anxious and excited to pay this forward but/and really look forward to giving appreciation back to this specific family.Stepping sideways here a bit hoping you can follow. On this thread someone wrote about Trader Joe's being racist. The black cashier woman who checked me out seemed very comfortable, enthusiastically connected to us as customers. I know how to find the employee/spouse because this beautiful everything cashier will certainly remember all of us and the shared uplifting experience. The only vibe was positivity20 hours later I am writing this and my heart is still very happy about every piece of my experience yesterday.Okay okay so TJ's samples (of chips and salsa-today's taste testing) were not serving when I went past the area. I had to look hard to find anything to be disappointed about...The store has little signs posting the name of an employee by a food item they like with a little blurb. One time I had three different employees walk me with my cart and fill with 2 to 6 items of what each of them liked including the items they like to prepare with such if there was one. That was such a hit everything was insightful and delicious. Yesterday I wanted to suggest the manager had pre-made bags of instruction and items so I could just pick up the bag. SO FUN shopping in this environment. This trip I returned an awesome (favorite but barely used purchase) jute shopping bag that the top one inch come apart in a four inch length from the bag. I picked up another one to replace and that exchange process also went through without adieu. ( I probably would not have purchased the $4 eucalyptus candle if I did not anticipate support was going to happen at the register.) Every time I like this candle good vibes from this experience will continue.I miss TJ's Vanana yogurt (awesome vanilla, banana blend). Though gone for over 6 years I still check the case to see if ever returning. So much good here.Writing, this epistle turned near a book, I realize this store is really a part of joyful me.Should have snapped a photo for you... the cashier noted I needed to get eating.
