Read MoreThe amount of times this "mall" had been transmogrified is astounding. I would say that in the early 80s, this place used to be far more family friendly. There was a beautiful merry-go-round ages ago that kids today will never experience, a theater where I got to see Star Wars during X-mas where they handed out figures, a small but delicious food court next to the theater, some rides (which you rarely see in malls), a little bookstore, the K-mart, the little cookie shop, etc. It's all gone.
The bulk of what replaced the mall these days is the UFC gym, which is pretty good last time I tried it, but this whole zone has no distinct characteristics compared to the version from the early 80s except for that gym. Even the old Sam Ash was a good addition here until it moved for one reason or another. Maybe the Spectrum store here since it's hard to find one closer to me? But hardly a reason to come here when the food mostly is unremarkable and most of the stores are bland, oversized and not worth the effort to park.
