Our barber, Isaiah, showed us exceptional hospitality and skill. Not only is he a master of his craft, but he also embodies the spirit of a true gentleman’s barber. It was clear that he cared about delivering a great cut and experience. He took the time to ensure my son liked his cut and provided him with some needed styling tips. Isaiah had my son looking sharp in no time, and his fade game was on point!
This visit was the best coincidence by chance encounter. My son had to rush to find a barber at the last minute because he missed his regular barber's appointment due to being involved in a horrible accident caused by a careless driver. He had injuries, his car was totaled, and he was devastated. We've been scrambling to get his life back to normal, and my son urgently needed a fresh haircut before starting his engineering internship. After a quick search, he found Thundershop! Initially, I was skeptical as I always am with most barbershops, especially since we've experienced a variety of them while growing up in different cities from Las Vegas to DC. Usually, these places are loud, unwelcoming unless you're a regular, have long wait times, and rarely feel suitable for kids.
However, Thundershop broke all those stereotypes. I brought my 7-year-old daughter along, and Isaiah made sure she was comfortable, even changing the TV to cartoons just for her so she could be entertained while her big brother was getting his fade.
The shop has a great vibe, filled with friendly people, both barbers and patrons. Everyone spoke to everyone. We almost didn’t want to leave. I also want to highlight the welcoming, hospitable, and friendly environment of all the barbers. As the saying goes “you never know what people are going through”, but Thundershop brought a calm to our week for that hour. They took care of us, and it was appreciated during a week of unexpected chaos and loss. They brought some sunshine to a little darkness.
I highly recommend Thundershop and especially Isiah for anyone looking for a step above, an excellent haircut and a welcoming environment. My son will definitely be back!
