Read MoreI ordered Jan 5th. I was told there was a shortage of 15 inch wheel outers. I was told this every few weeks until the end of March when I was told the outers were in. I was told they would go to powder coat because I didnt have time to paint them as we were close to my deadline. They went to powder coat April 2nd a week later than what I was told the first time. I was told I would have them April 19th. Today is the 20th. Still no wheels. No idea when they will be done or shipped they couldnt give me dates but could give me many excuses. Blamed the powder coater they used. Blamed supplier. Blamed the lack of help. Never took responsibility. Not once. I like to use smaller companies. Support the little guy. But sometimes you are better off with the big guys. I will never buy from Wheelsmith again. I will use Wheel Vintiques or another company. Dont lie. Dont make excuses. Dont make me have to buy another set of wheels at the last minute to make my trip. Completely and totally disappointed. If and it is a big if, I ever mount these wheels on my car, the only thing I will ever see is disappointments.Update 05/19/21 I did get my wheels the first week of May. They are really nothing special, nothing in appearance or construction looks any different from the competition. They were well packed for shipping, even if the shipping company just left them sitting on the driveway where anyone could have just taken them and didnt knock or let us know they were delivered. I did decide to run them, they were very very difficult to get balanced, I used brand new radial tires. They took a lot of weights, more than 4 times what was on the car before. They look decent, appear to be made decently, but overall I feel I way overspent for what I got and how I got it and would not do it again. The next build i will use another vendor for wheels.
