The Shops at Mission Viejo in Mission Viejo

Good place to browse and walk around. Feel very safe there. Not so busy anymore as it used to be sadly, yet every store front is open. But good if you want to window shop and stroll around on a hot or cold day, this is a great place to do so. There is a store there called Dominika that sales fossils, Crystals and jewelry. I am a collector of mineral and have gotten some beautiful specimens at a very affordable price. Check out the pictures. There are a whole host of shops from Macy’s to small businesses. My son likes the Lego store, my daughter the toddler clothing stores, and my wife the jewelry and clothing stores like Macys or Nordstrom. Heck, you can even buy a car here too from Tesla. And the best part is there is plenty of parking.So check out the many restaurants from Paradise Bakery healthy option’s to burgers or Chinese food. Or go upscale to the Cheesecake Factory or PF Changs. So drop in and get a bite to eat and browse the many stores.

I will never refer to it by this ridiculous moniker. It's the Mission Viejo Mall, and nothing else. To be clear, the biggest reason for this rating IS the name! It's difficult to hate a mall, since there are usually tons of shopping options. Sadly, malls are going away in general. The Disney Store closed, so that doesn't help at all. Still, new shops and kiosks open frequently. Even their food court has a pretentious name.

This review is specifically about the rides for kids inside of the mall.There are kid rides located on the main and lower floors. Several times I have put my money (coins or bills) on them, but they haven't worked (with no sign that is not working). There is a number on the changing machine for a company called CTM, but good luck talking to them! You can imagine how much money they get from so many people for free! This is a scam! This happened on Sunday, July 23, between 1 to 2 pm.Update (July 25, 15:17) another day. Same issue. This time in the main floor. $2 is gone for nothing. Reaching out the people in charge is impossible. Who should I contact to get my money back? Why there is no sign that the machine is broken? I'm not sure how I should prove that the machine was broken!

A one stop shop for your shopping and munching needs.Nestled nearby the Mission Viejo hospital, the Shops has an abundant amount of shopping malls ranging from low to high-end prices. It features 2 floors, of shopping stores. One of my most visited store believe it or not is the Apple Store. It’s not as decorative as other places, but it still has your latest Apple gadgets.It’s not extremely crowded even during weekends, which makes shopping convenient. There’s also a good amount of restaurants inside and outside the shopping mall.

Driving through the Macy's parking structure and ran over a misplaced parking curb and damaged my car. This curb was supposed to be secured to the floor and was in the middle of a parking spot where people drive. I immediately notified security and they documented the incident. Pete was very helpful and a claim was issued with their insurance "Sedgwick". Unfortunately I was denied any compensation and paid over $2000 in damage out of my own pocket. I was denied for 2 reasons 1) because the mall was unaware of the misplaced curb and 2) because they weren't the ones that moved it. Well one week later I returned to the incident location and the curb was still misplaced and still unsecured to the floor and this time the argument is not valid because clearly 1) they are aware of it and 2) they did move it and it is still in the wrong place and still unsecured. (Redacted). Otherwise I love this mall and eat at the food court regularly.

My favorite etsy shop owner has an actual shop now right in the heart of the mall! Next to the food court! Can’t miss it! It’s called Lakshmi Design and she’s making one of a kind, high quality bracelets, necklaces and more with real crystals and rocks. Couldn’t be happier than this when I found out about the shop when I was looking for the boba place. She always welcomes everyone with a smiling face, helps throughout the shopping, gives plenty of information about rocks and crystals. I leave very happy every time I visit this owners shops. Highly recommended, unique jewelry shop for those who’s looking for quality.

Torn about edit as i want to support other artists...and initial visit was nice, phone call was ok, but have never been treated so RUDELY in such a short span (by the guy mgr.) Condescening, rude, hurtful...and had nothing to do w quality of my offerings.===LAGUNA GALLERYRoomy gallery (unexpectedly) in the mall.Nice original works, both large and small... primarily fine art, and sculptures, but some nice smaller handcrafted gift items, jewelry, cards, mugs, which Id like to see even more of here...esp since the pop up Etsy shop is unpredictable.Staff (Tara) was nice and helpful.WAS Happy to find you all...(til I was treated so poorly).

They do need to change toilet seats for new one. Once year maintainance would be nice downstairs women bathrooms are really gross and smell badly... plug inns with some scent would be helpfull and let's change the brown looking seats that has been here probably decade . Minimum coast upgrades . I bet management doesn't go to those bathrooms ;)

We stopped by the mall today for shopping and lunch. A terrific shopping spot. We did look for addresses and directories yet from our location they were not available. We were fortunate to run into a very nice security officer named Silva and he let us to the store we were looking for. Kudos to this man for going out off his way. He opted to not have me take his picture and stated to photograph his badge so I did. Great customer service.Great mall, shops, clean environment, restaurants, and people. Plenty of m parking as well.Highly recommended

Shops at Mission Viejo has a prime location with so much potential—right by the highway, close to the train station, and surrounded by beautiful views. However, it feels like it's time to rethink the concept of enclosed malls, especially here in California where we have twelve months of mostly dry, pleasant weather. An open-air, re-engineered design would make better use of the natural climate and bring fresh air into the experience. Imagine hi-rise residential spaces overlooking an open mall, combining shopping, living, and leisure in one vibrant community. The mall’s location is a gem, and with the right updates, it could become a truly unique destination.

If there ever were good stores, almost all, gone.Even stores like GAP and Old Navy have very little merchandise to choose from.Macys has the men’s department somewhere else, never found it.The only good place there is the Cheese Cake Factory.The mall is is clean and the hall is nice but no good stores.With good stores it would be a good mall.Even the food court does not have much to offer.It is close to being dead, sad but true.

Great to see some malls that are still thriving and offer a variety of options to shop and dine. They do also offer decent prices and you can find some good values in their sales. Most of the people working there seemed friendly and didn't feel like they hated to be there. We will definitely return and I recommend using apps to order ahead for their food places and Starbucks. They tend to get very busy and have long lines. Plenty of parking and lots to see.

I'm only leaving a review hoping that maybe something can be done.. we love coming to this mall with our son however the issue I have is that the men's bathroom in the food court does not have any changing tables. Men change diapers too and I just can't imagine what single men must go through to try and change their kids diaper. They have one family bathroom but every single time we go, it is locked and seems like no one is in there. We've knocked and waited over 20mins for it. I get it could be occupied but it doesn't seem like it. And we go very often to never have been able to use it. I also hear from other parents in the community that they have the same experience with it always being locked. Can we please get changing tables in all bathrooms? Especially near the food court.

It's a mall, with all the conveniences and inconveniences one may expect. Loads of shops, but mostly targeted at youths or families. Too many to mention here but all are pretty good. The food court has quite a few options and is usually pretty crowded because of this. Unlike most malls today, this one is bustling most of the time it's open and you'll have a reason to go there.

If I could give the establishmentnegative stars, I would!This shopping mall used to be open for business until 9-10pm!Now they close nightly at 8pm even onFriday/Saturday nights! WTH!?Some of the stores inside the mall even close at 7pm like T-mobile!If your mall wants to see more foot traffic and more sales, you really should consider keeping everything open until 10pm, which we’re your original business hours!Reduced hours of operation equals bad customer service! Beware!

Witnessed the security person yelled to the man sitting on chair who’s talking to his wife on the phone near the Macy’s store. Security yelled at him saying “don’t sleep at the mall”!!’ Even tho he was just sitting and resting while he’s on the phone with his wife. Not only me who witnessed the scenario but the person who works from Macy’s too. Like why you need to yell at him if you can just respectfully talk to the person politely? That’s way too much! I don’t care if you’re a security or what! You don’t have rights to be disrespectful!!

Beautiful mall with lots of great shops. I found the parking to be somewhat confusing, having never been there before. I wouldn't mind a few more directional signs! It appeared to have only one entrance off Crown Valley Parkway, so we drove around the "block", got on the freeway and tried again, this time with success. Again, not familiar with the area, so needed a little more time. Once inside we were happy to find both familiar and new-to-us shops as well as restaurants that we like. We ended up choosing The Cheesecake Factory, which never disappoints!

These shops are kind of nice, but they don’t have any great stores there. It’s a good place to walk around. Only went to macys which actually had great deals but the organization was a bit of a mess. Have been there in the past but could definitely use an upgradeThe shops in Mission Viejo

I honestly enjoyed the mall shopping experience. There are just some tangible and palpable aspects of in house retail that the online experience can't compete with. The problem is that customer service is pretty much non existent with the cutbacks in salespeople. The Shops at MV were clean, well stocked and uncrowded, the later a positive.

I highly recommend to all management of the shops at mission viejo mall to remodel the whole place. It doesn't have good lights and is always dead. The flooring and walls are old. People want to go to the engaging and live stores not quiet and old.There is lots of room for improvement. Please take care of all and have value for your customers.I rather like to drive to another Mall than spend my time there. Please support remodeling our shops at Mission Viejo.Thanks!

We took our twins to get their hair cut at The Salon 4 Kids. We have not been there for a long time. Be sure to make a reservation if you dont want to wait. This place is great! They always do a excellent job while the kids play video games and/or watch a movie. What truly impressed me is the woman cutting our boys hair remembered them from when they were little. That was special!

I went to T-Mobile becuz my TMobile rep, Josh T move to this location and he is the best! He understands me but I cant seem to get to know the new rep near me because some of them just dont understand and Josh T understand what I need to do with my stuff.Thank you, Josh T!JC

This is a nice mall. It's clean, parking is easy to find-if you park in the garage. Steer clear of the parking lot near the food court, you may find yourself circling if you end up there. The stores are nice and there is a good variety of genres. I feel like there is pretty much something for everyone. It's much less crowded than South Coast Plaza so it's a more pleasant shopping and dining experience, in my opinion.

We went to the Cafe inside of Nordstroms. The food is fresh and very good.....lots of care is taken in the presentation of each dish, visually and in taste, combining flavors. We have not been disappointed. The "Cafe" is really a large dinning room and the only problem is the level of noise during their busier times. The food and service more than make up for it.

Personally this has been one mall that I go to regularly whether its the weekday or weekend. It never seems too crowded but it is never empty, there is always something going on , a place to shop at , or a store to eat at without the feeling of being crowded out. To any person I would recommend this one as one of the best indoor malls around the area.

Why does the mall have the hour of closing at 8pm? This includes the food court, correct? If so, why are the food places closing earlier? They are closing 15 mins before 8pm.If this is how the food court operates, then advertise your food court hours at the earlier correct time.

This is a very enjoyable mall to walk around at. We went here for dinner at The Cheesecake Factory. While we waited for our table we walked around and found a space that had a whole bunch of little shops with vendors that came to sell their products.Parking can require a bit of walking, but there was plenty of parking further away from the main entrances. Valet parking is available.

Large, clean, air-conditioned mall with anchor stores Macy's and Nordstrom's. Large food court including Panda Express and Blaze Pizza, and sit down restaurants Islands and PF Chang. Security guard roaming on those 2 wheeled motorized self balanced scooters also answered questions on store locations. Bought an Easter Egg at See's and got a free sample. Also bought a couple of baklavas from the Baklava shop -- yummy!

This used to be the Mission Viejo Mall, but hey, doesn't The Shops at Mission Viejo sound more upscale? It remains the mall to us locals, though some of the prices makes me want to call it the Shops at Mission Viejo just to feel like I'm getting my money's worth. $12 a pound for grapefruit slices at the candy store? Eek!Having fussed, I'll say something nice. I got my fiancée's emerald earrings at the mall for a pretty good price, and I looked around some before I bought them. Do check out the jewelry stores. You just might find a pretty good price.Amongst other stores there is a Sees Candy shop if you're in the mood for something sweet. They have a pretty good food court, last time there I had a cheese steak sandwich that was pretty good.All the usual suspects are there, Nordstrom and those kinds of places. One of the big disappointments to me, and it was a big one, was the Apple store. Omnicron had got here, and they were the only store in the mall that closed, and closed at a time I very much needed them. We bought a new iPhone 13 Pro Max and a new tablet especially for our vacation and had a problem with the tablet. There were 4 employees in front of the store dealing with the public, and I counted 7 employees in the store milling around. A cranky employee who was clearly tired of dealing with people like me informed me, when asked, that he had no idea when the store would open again. I personally didn't understand why, if you are using limiting exposure to people as your reason for closing, you would expose 4 employees to all those people asking questions. I felt bad for the employees. They were catching a lot of flak. After spending over two grand on Apple products for vacation and then being turned away from the Apple when I needed them left me kinda irritated. Fortunately the Irvine store wasn't panic stricken, but a 3 hour wait in line was outside our time frame. Fortunately we had our S21 Ultras and our trusty S7 tablets. Much better cameras on the Ultras as it turned out. Check out my moon pics for comparison. We wanted to see how we liked Apple. For us, iPhones remain in the domain of "influencers", people that want to look cool and YouTube video makers. For great cameras, reliability and productivity, we'll stay with Samsung. We just preordered our S22 Ultras. Hey, we have a great price on a 13 Pro Max if you're interested.Malls still have their place in our hearts, but with increasing inflation, 14 fuel price hikes here in CA in 15 days, traffic congestion and the craziness that seems to be afflicting us in general (Anyone else feel that way? It's a topic of conversation around here) buying online has become a more and more viable alternative. Delivery is fast and right to my door. I've gotten everything I've ordered, and nothing broken. The problem is in the very ease and reliability of ordering online. Like Costco, I go with the best of intentions to spend X amount of money and spend Y amount every single time. It takes some thought and discipline to shop in the modern world.I, for one, am concerned by events around us. Conflicting and contradictory information about Covid. I'm not sure how three weeks ago Omnicron was devastating us and today California downgraded it from pandemic to endemic status. Pundits are telling us how great we're doing because of the stock market but I see prices that matter to me rising almost daily. Confusion and disruption surround us, even threat of war with Russia. I see people stocking up on water and toilet paper again. What does that have to do with the mall? Nothing, I guess. I just want to tell you not to give up hope. To stay strong and choose common sense over panic. If you are feeling alone or overwhelmed turn to a friend, or one of the many services available to us. Maybe is sounds cheesy and trite, but we're Americans and I have faith in us to come through anything if we work together.I wish the best for all of you every day. Stay strong and brave.

I wanted to purchase something at Macy's and it was quite crowded but not unbearable but you couldn't check out the lines were long and they do not have enough places for anyone to check out. They used to have a lot more but for some reason they've decided to take a lot of the registers away so I put my purchases back on the shelf and went on to bigger and better things. I did see a few other people doing the same thing.

A beautiful dual level Mall in the beautiful town of Mission Viejo. This place has all the the big department stores and all the other shops you would expect indecent mall to have. The bonus you coming to this mall is all the available parking and the fact that it's just off of I-5 and it has some wonderful places to eat such as Islands.

One of the nicer malls in the immediate area, isn’t as nice as some of the Irvine Company malls like Fashion Island or Irvine Spectrum however they have a great set up of stores, a truly well set up parking flow, and it’s always very clean on the inside. Another huge plus with this mall every year around Black Friday they stay open until 12 or 1am while other malls close early and open after 12am.
