Truly beautiful music store. I am a professional musician who has been playing violin for 10+ years and this year decided to begin my journey into cello. The Estring was my first stop. The shop walls are lined with instruments of all sizes for all skill levels (many violins, violas, cellos, a bass or two, and surprisingly a few brass instruments). They also have a good selection of string sets, bows, and accessories. It took a few minutes for the shop owner to come out to assist me (he was hard at work in the workshop!), but he was so kind, non-judgmental and very helpful in letting me try out instruments until I found the perfect cello. I ultimately chose a lovely-sounding used cello with some blemishes and scratches, which the owner ended up offering for way under what I had budgeted for my first cello. I'm so happy with it. When I'm ready for an upgrade (or maybe when I decide to add a viola to my collection!), I'll be stopping here again.
The only downside to the store is the location — parking and driving in this downtown, very historic area can be a little tricky. But it was definitely worth it.
