DECEPTIVE SALES TACTICS EXPOSED. Saw an 01 Suzuki GSX R600 online for 4995 at Coliseum in PCola. Called. Came to take a look. Wouldn't start. There had been an attempt to steal the bike and wires were cut. Said we'd come back to get it running for them in the morning. Went into office and owner offered 2995 for bike, cash, all reg, tax and tags, out the door. Then pressured us to take the deal because it wouldn't be the same offer when we returned the next day. We hadn't even started or ridden it yet. Who knows what damage was done to the bike when the electrical was cut. We came back the next morning, spent $15 on butt connectors, etc. Prior to arriving, we looked the bike up on their site and the guy had lowered the price from 4995 to the offer that he had given us the night before. Wth? We spent half our day off investing our time on this bike so that it would fire. Took it for a spin, loved it. The owner gave us a few minutes to think over offer. There had been an accident so the damage to it would need to be fixed, the tires were shot, the chain was rusted out and needed to be replaced, there were only 7000 or so miles on it which isn't good for a 16 year old bike, possibly for a car but not a bike. Low miles weren't an allure for us. What was an allure was only 1 owner in 16 years. Ferring would need replacement and then the quick fix that we put into the bike would need to go into a shop to make it safe & ride worthy. We went in and gave him an offer of 2995, cash, all reg, tax and tags, out the door. We gave him the offer he offered us the evening before plus we weren't going to charge him for the work that we had put into getting the bike fixed which was about 250. In his pride, he turned our offer down, said it was the offer the night before and that he wanted addl money for reg, tax and tags. Are you serious?! WHILE we were sitting there making the deal, in front of us so that we could hear, while eating his lunch that he slowly placed down on the table, he picked up his cell phone and called someone else that was interested in the bike, said it was fixed and ready and if they were still interested, to come in. In front of us!! In all the years we've done car lot deals, this was the lowest of the low type of sales tactic that's ever been used on us. After he got off of that real or fake phone call, words were said and he came down to 2650 for bike but then tacked on 600+ in fees bringing an out the door total to 3295. We walked away and out. Bottom line? He turned down the original offer he gave to us and watched us walk away over 300 bucks. Beware of this place. There's another one over in Pace/Milton/Brent. We established a relationship with this guy from the time we were there, fixed his bike and this is how it played out? Then he had the balls to ask us if we would still fix the other bike on his lot that had the same thing happen to it!? Not kidding. Deceptive, manipulative and cold hearted. Find another place to do business. Don't even converse with these people. We wish we could report them to someone because what this guy did was not ethically moral. We don't know how he sleeps at night but then that's car sales right? He played us HARD.
