I've always had wonderful memories of shopping at Talbot's with my grandmother back in the 80's when I was a student at Kingswood. When I was back in the area on Monday and noticed it was now located at the West Farms Mall, I decided to take my own adult daughter. We were made to feel so unwelcome by the older saleswoman. When I had finished trying on my three items, I redressed and opened the door to see how my daughter had fared. This woman was one inch from my door. I turned to politely put my clothing back on their hangers. She stood with one foot actually in the dressing room, full-on staring at me. I was so taken aback when she stated sharply, "It's for security". I was dressed in a blouse and slacks (no jacket or coat) with no shopping bags and a small pocketbook. She was worried I might shoplift?? HOW??!! I was literally rendered speechless. I half-expected her to frisk me. I did end up buying my daughter a lovely sweater, but I have never been treated this poorly in any store before. (My daughter and I were shopping here this past Monday, Dec. 5th at noontime)
