I have been taking my vehicles, including my BMW and Mercedes SL500, to Summit Auto Group for all repairs and maintenance, and I can confidently say that their service is second to none. Jack, the lead mechanic, is incredibly knowledgeable, skilled, and experienced. Whether it’s routine maintenance or a more complex repair, Jack and his team handle everything with precision and professionalism.
One of the things I value most about Summit Auto Group is the trust and transparency they offer. As a car enthusiast, I am very particular about how my vehicles are treated, and this is the only place where I feel my cars are in the best hands possible. Jack always takes the time to explain the work that needs to be done, ensuring there are no surprises. His attention to detail and dedication to quality are truly remarkable.
In addition to their expertise, the team at Summit Auto Group is friendly and genuinely cares about their customers. It’s refreshing to find a mechanic you can trust completely in an industry where that isn’t always the case. I’ve never been disappointed with the service I’ve received here, and I always leave feeling confident that my cars are performing at their best.
If you’re in the Detroit area and looking for a reliable, honest, and highly skilled mechanic, I cannot recommend Summit Auto Group enough. Whether you drive a luxury vehicle like a BMW or a classic like the Mercedes SL500, this is the place to go for top-notch service. They’ve earned my loyalty and respect, and I wouldn’t take my cars anywhere else!

I purchased a car from Jack, based on the long list of satisfied customers, both on eBay and elsewhere. The car I purchased was advertised as lightly wrecked but fixed with all “OEM parts.” It went on to say that “no paint was required.” The pictures showed it to be in fantastic condition.
When it got here, it drove a little funny and wiggled when braked. I thankfully took it to the mechanic, who sent me pictures of the extensive damage (see attached). Only the exterior had been repaired? Jack feigned surprise and said he’d take it back. That was over a week ago (I’m now at 3+ weeks with no car and he’s still got my money) He currently says that truckers just aren’t picking it up, “based on my area.” What’s funny about that is that I live in Austin, TX, the 16th largest city in the country and one of the fastest growing cities of all time. It’s right smackdab in the middle of the sunbelt, known for outdoor music festivals and it’s 300+ days of sunshine annually. It sounded like BS to me, so I looked online. UShip (founded in Austin BTW) has several trucking companies willing to do the work, for the same price he paid to get it down here?
He only sells wrecked cars and doesn’t have someone look at them first?!
I’d be vary wary of doing business with Summit Auto Group. If it looks to good to be true. . .
(Pics: Repaired Front Corner Exterior as advertised, “rigging” to get it just far enough down the road, additional unrepaired damage, and uShip’s availability as soon as tomorrow)
