I first visited the Fullerton location where the girl was very helpful in helping locate a Joyce costume from Stranger Things in my size. She called this location in Brea and asked one of the clerks to hold it with the wig under my name. When I arrived, not only did the two employees, Austria and Sophie act like I was stupid for even suggesting they would hold something, insisting they would not hold anything, but they didn’t offer to help in any way by locating the item, instead sending me on a wild goose chase looking for this costume at what could have possibly been the “other” Brea location in Yorba Linda. I relied on google maps which directed me to a Brea location that turned out to be an entirely different Halloween chain altogether, (Halloween Club) then ended up at the Placentia location where Marissa the store manager did all she could to assist me in locating this item. Only to discover two stores had it. Westminster and the location at the Brea Mall. The location that not only wouldn’t call the “other Brea store” to see if that store was the one holding it, but didn’t even bother to check their own inventory. And upon returning to the store after a nearly two hour search it turned out it was there the whole time. Seriously this is the saddest excuse for customer service I have ever encountered. If I didn’t have my team at work counting on me to pull through with my part as a team effort to win a costume contest with our theme being Stranger Things I really would have just said forget it. This store is the last place I’d want to spend my money and provide business to. I would suggest any of the other locations, or another business altogether before stepping foot in this store. Frankly I’m disgusted by the way I was treated and they really showed zero empathy when I returned and explained what their lack of effort to help a customer resulted in. No apologies just excuses. And at the end sarcastically wishing me a good evening. Avoid this business if you can. Incredibly rude lazy employees with zero people skills.
