WORST. SHOP. EVER.Get ready for a story...My husband and I visited from SC. On every trip we find record stores bc we LOVE records, music, and the whole experience of the hunt for something new/rare.We arrived with a friend, all wearing masks. We rang the doorbell since the door was locked to limit # of customers. The owner opened the door and threw his hands up and just looked at us. We didn’t say anything so he said “do you have gloves??” We said no, not realizing we needed them. He proceeded to tell us he wouldn’t let us in without gloves.Since he wouldn’t provide gloves, AND was rude, we weren’t sure if buying gloves and going back was worth it. But we took a chance and bought gloves at the nearest Rite Aid. Once inside the owner asked us what we were looking for, like he wanted us to get in and get out; didn’t want us hanging around and browsing.After some time looking around I saw a stack of posters under an open rack, so I started thumbing through them (gloves on). They weren’t hidden, covered, nor was there a NFS sign. EVERY record store I’ve ever been to that has items NFS either has them put away, covered, or "NFS" posted. Seems like common sense to me.The owner came up and said “those are actually not for sale ma’am. That’s why they’re hidden. I just can’t risk having people come in here and forage thru everything...” and went on about getting sick and whatever else. His tone and demeanor was extremely rude.That was the last straw for us. After the way we were greeted, we already decided not to buy anything (which is unfortunate for him bc we spend a lot of $ on records). But then after the way he spoke to me like I purposely dug through hidden things to be disrespectful... we will NEVER EVER EVER go back. There are so many record shops in the area that are 10mil times better with great customer service and better PRICES.Speaking of prices, he had a completely trashed record priced at $5.99 (photos attached), which would be in a $1 bin at a GOOD record shop. He had a used Donna Summer’s record priced at $27.99, that most record shops I go to have for MUCH LESS. His t-shirts were $17.99+, and his MASKS were $9.99. Most things were way overpriced and the customer service was awful.We had a terrible experience and def. don't recommend this place. This man is more concerned with himself getting sick than he is with providing people a good experience at his business. If you're that scared of Covid, stay home.

The best thing I could say about this place, is it's a older punk rock puritan record store. While the store itself has a decent collection of used and some-what new vinyl, it does not cater in any way to newer listeners. If you're looking for anything relatively recent, I would say don't even bother checking here as they likely will not sell it. If you dare ask the man behind the counter if they will be getting any records in the future or could procure the vinyl for you at a price, you will be told the inventory they have is as good as it'll get and in their own words, "why should I spend money to increase my inventory slightly for a few of your sales? I spread myself thin as it is already and if you cannot find what you're looking for here, then I cannot help you" It is very clear by demeanor of the staff they have no intention to work with your tastes and prefer their own above all else.As for the management, from reading other reviews it seems like the attitude you'll receive from the staff is a total coin-flip on how you're treated with no specific reason to warrant said service. Either the staff will like you, or you will be treated less than human here. I personally am an advocate of supporting your local record stores, even if sometimes you're looking for something specific that may not be readily available. Speaking to my personal experience, I had a metal artist in mind and wished to purchase a new record of their EP, and was told there was no stock. That was a completely acceptable answer as I didn't believe it would be, so I had asked if there was any way I could attempt to purchase it through the store. I was met with the previous comment mentioned, stating what they have in stock is the best they can get with not even the slightest attempt to try and work around my tastes in music, while stating they had no desire to do so either. To be completely honest, if words could kill, the way this man spoke would tell you that you are not wanted there. I would've gladly paid a finders fee or for the shop to purchase the vinyl on my behalf and establish a relationship with the business, but I immediately was met with a condescending attitude from the staff that seemed annoyed I had even stepped foot in their store.With the completely turbulent and negative attitude of the staff, and the utter lack of any customer service or ability to build report with their shoppers, I would tell anyone there's no reason to even bother shopping here.
