I came through North San Juan this morning, 16 Aug 2022, about 7:45, hell-bent for Sacramento and noticed my petrol was low, and I returned to those friendly gas pumps. Since I had cash, I walked inside to buy $20 worth (big spender) for my Caddy 2-door, white, and unbruised. As I walked under the blower, full-on and blowing like a hurricane over Nebraska, I caught sight of a blond lady behind the counter. Even though she was busy with two customers and a kid eating junk food, this lovely person smiled in my direction. I waited for my turn and it came surprisingly quick. Her smile grew even wider as I dropped the $20 on the counter, mumbled something about needing juice for the car at the first pump.
She remarked: "Is that your Cadillac, the one in white?" I was smiling broadly now - which I always do - that is, whenever I find someone young and female showing an interest in anything I own.
"Anything else?" "Maybe a coffee," I replied, as I pointed to the device as if she had never seen the machine before.
I found myself doing the dumb responses like when I was a teen. Being friendly at a tiny grocery with gas pumps in a town I nearly swooshed by earlier, had me stunned. Frankly, she was young and 'purdy' and me older than dirt and enjoying the lady's attention.
Some people on this response list, which I share here, complained the a lady at the counter was nasty and 'rude'. Not me and certainly not THIS lady. My visit had my heart pumping extra time and it was all because this lady I did not know spoke with me as if I were a young dude she was attracted to.
Allow me this moment of pleasure to reflect that her time with me gave this old guy with the white Caddy something to think about on my way home
