Shottenkirk Honda Service Center in Huntsville

BEWARE!!! DO NOT COME HERE!! UNTRUSTWORTHY!! LONG POST ALERT!!! I have been dealing with this shop from Oct. 21st until Oct. 28th in reference to my vehicle needing repairs! I initially came in for an oil change and possible starter problems as well as tire issues. I also asked the rep b/m Mr. Christopher Moore to advise his mechanic Mr. Devin Thompson to check the above problems. Mr. Moore was professional and respectful however I later figured out that he NEVER advised the mechanic Mr. Devin Thompson to check the details of my initial complaint!!! In addition Mr. Moore advised me to come back several times for the same issue. I was first advised to have my battery replaced which I did as instructed. The problem still remained therefore after being instructed by Mr. Moore again to come back I decided to have a second opinion on my vehicle. I visited the Honda dealership on Hwy 72. After sitting in both of these locations for over four hours or more. Bob Wallace location was at least four hours on multiple days!!! Each day the problem remained!!! The hwy 72 dealership finally advised me that the Bob Wallace location did not properly service my vehicle and provided documentation showing the nonservice!! Also I have been a faithful customer to this business even after being done wrong in the past. You may ask why come back right!? Well in the past the rep had always corrected their mistakes with no problem and no cost to me. Well after being advised by the Hwy 72 Honda dealership that my vehicle had not been serviced properly I then responded back to the Bob Wallace location to speak with a supervisor!! The supervisor at the Bob Wallace location w/m Mr. Forrest Ege is RUDE, showed no compassion and definitely does not care for his customers!!! During my conversation with Mr. Ege he became upset after I provided him with ALL my copies of work orders and he also REFUSED to take ownership of his employees mistakes!!! This conversation went on for at least a hour or so! I was then asked by Mr. Ege to let his technicians fix the problems however I refused and stated to him directly that" I DO NOT trust your workers anymore!!" I was then given a attitude by Mr. Forrest in which he threw the papers down on his desk & stated aggressive" well if we are not doing the work, I am done helping you!!" Mr. Forrest also stated that I could just take my vehicle back to the hwy 72 location and have them fix it at my expense!!! Mr. Forrest then instructed me to leave his office however I refused and stated that I would like to speak with Mr. Moore directly while in his presence!! Mr. Forrest at first denied my request and stated that he already spoke with Mr. Moore. I stated that I will still like to speak with him and I refused to leave until we had spoken. Well after ignoring me for several minutes and seeing that i was not leaving, Mr. Ege finally called Mr. Moore in his office!! While speaking with Mr. Moore again he was respectful and compassionate. Mr. Moore also had taken FULL accountability for his lack of service in reference to not advising the techs of my issue. However!! Mr. Forrest had again DENIED to do anything about helping me fix the problems even after his rep Mr. Moore confirmed that he did not do his job correctly!!! Forrest also stated that his mechanic was INEXPERIENCED!! I then attempted to record the interaction but was unable. After being treated so poorly by Forrest, I then called the Honda hotline to speak with someone higher than Forrest!! I was unable to get the general manager the first time therefore I opened a case with a Honda rep Ms. Alma. Ms. Alma advised me that this will be an internal review and I will not be contacted back in reference. I then attempted to call the general manager Mr. Ken Bustani again and was finally able to speak with him. While speaking with Bustani he sounded compassionate and attentive but also refused to make the situation right!! His solution was to give only 10% off of the entire work order which came out to be $3531. I will NOT come back here!! Untrustworthy ppl work here!

NEVER had anyone scar up my alloy wheels in all the years I have had service work, until today. I have taken meticulous care of my car since 2009 and just discovered this jack leg damage to all 4 wheels when I got home.I was told that the manager would call me today.No phone call.This place isn't Jerry Damson service anymore. It's another typical sketchy car joint.I won't be back.

I received a letter in the mail from Honda informing me that the part for my recall was in and to schedule a service appointment. I used the online scheduler to make an appointment at this location, with my recall as the appointment type, just to arrive and be told they didn’t have any. Waste of time and gas. I consistently experience poor customer service here and would avoid if possible.

Avoid them.1) Horrible management. I made an appointment and dropped off my car. Then they kept allowing later coming cars to cut in line. So they didn’t get to work on my car for a whole day. When I talked to the manager, he told me that I need to drive in and stay here next day. Well, what is the point of dropping off cars early and making appointments.2) I stayed there the second day. They didn’t fix the issues, and the problems persist. Then they told me that I need to keep driving the car until it got worse, then it will be easier for them to fix the issues.3) Overcharged me a lot for just walking around the car with doing nothing.I would sincerely suggest another place if possible.

Different priorities since Jerry Damson… make an appointment for oil change and tire rotation..,after 2 hours, nothing. Service put my CRV on a rack, moved it up, then part way down, then down and absolutely nothing was done. I asked for my vehicle and left. Poor management when appointments are not honored. Updated respite: The service manager called and took care of the situation as well as serviced my vehicle in a timely manner. Thank you Forest and David!

This place is great. My general experience with dealerships is getting upsold on overpriced work. Not here. I did some price comparison on recommended services and found that the dealership was competitive. Not the cheapest but not the most expensive quote either. I also appreciate that they don't push to do services early. Above all the staff is friendly and helpful.

I purchased a Honda Accord Hybrid 2 years ago and started using Shottenkirk for maintenance. Overall, probably closer to a five star till yesterday. Yes, they cost a little more than the shops, but they are a dealer. They have a shuttle that i use every time. So convenient. I just got new tires and had to pay a bit more than tire stores in town, but not crazy. (A few years ago I tried to do maintenance at a KIA dealership. That was crazy stupid expensive.) Ok, service was done fast (that afternoon), Good.But, at checkout they snuck in 3% fee for credit card Had i been told i would have paid with my Debit Card. Asked cashier to please make this more aware to customers and we will not be so upset. Bad management

We love this dealership! Everyone is so friendly and when I make an appointment I spend very little time waiting. The lady in the waiting area is phenomenal. I forget her name but she has blonde curly hair and offers coffee or tea to anyone waiting, she’s a sweetheart. Their prices are also very affordable for an oil change! Better than other quotes I’ve gotten. I’d highly recommend them🙌🏼

I am no longer a fan of this Honda service center. It has really gone down over the years. I used to get my vehicle serviced at Honda years ago, back in the Jerry Damson days, however, I noticed the service kept getting longer and longer. I remember sitting there for 1hr 45m for an oil change at one point, and decided it was time to move on. However, recently I started having issues with my vehicle electrical system and I decided I needed to get it checked out. Dropped off my vehicle on one early Thursday morning and was told that they would not be able to look at it until Friday. They said that some of their staff was out sick, understandable, however, they never looked at it on Friday, and never called either. I called and found out that couldn’t look at it till Monday. Well, that is fine, however, call and let me know, I needed my vehicle for the weekend, and I could bring it back Monday. Same thing Monday. If I didn’t call Monday, I doubt they would have even looked at it. Second, I was charged for the diagnostic $176, which I was never made aware of until I came to pick up my vehicle. The service advisor George Terry specifically told me when I brought my vehicle in, that if I ended up having repairs covered under my warranty that I would simply pay a deductible, but never was I told that I would pay a diagnostic fee. That said, and the other issues I mentioned before with just service, I am done with this place.

I've always been pretty satisfied with Honda at Bob Wallace but now I will not be returning. I was needing a full brake replacement, front and back. Also needed a keyfob replacement. Had called and got an estimate about a month previous. Then when I called back to schedule, the rep was at lunch so I left a message. Never heard back so I called back the next day and he was still at lunch. She(receptionist) offered to send to his voice-mail and I told her I'd left one the day before and got no return call so she says she will personally give him the message. Til today (2months) later, I have not heard a peep from them. I got my brake replacement at another place for a fraction of what Honda had quoted. Unacceptable customer service at Bob Wallace location!!

They have started charging a 3% surcharge if you pay with a credit or debit card. Usually a great place to get service for vehicle. I’ve used them for servicing 3 of my Hondas over the years. They try to make sure things are done right whether it’s tires, fluid changes, or oil changes. However with this surcharge I will likely take my business elsewhere.

After 3 HORRIBLE experiences at the Madison location, I decided to give this location a shot before I resorted to driving all the way to Decatur. When I tell you the people here actually know what they’re doing and they tell you what’s going on and how long it’s going to take - I was in and out for a service stop off in under 2 minutes and the service rep knew his stuff. I will never go to Madison again. I definitely trust these guys to do a good job off of Bob Wallace!

We're from out-of-state ..... way out-of-state, and had some brake issues. I made a convenient appointment and was put on lift as soon as I got there; described the issue and went to lounge (free topshelf coffee & teas, free snacks), service tech consulted with me within 20 minutes and gave cost &time estimate. Right on the money. Very clean & courteous and VERY reasonable prices. You never know when going to a dealer service center but these guys get an A+

I have always gotten good service at this dealership. I've never purchased a car from them, but it's the only place I carry my Civic for service. They have a very comfortable customer lounge with complimentary water and snacks. They offer a shuttle service if you'd like to be dropped off and picked up in town. Best of all their prices usually beat independent shops whenever I price compare.

Great place to visit. Easy entry and exit. Employees were friendly and helpful. Service was prompt and finished quicker that stated. Only issue is I explicitly requested that my spare tire be checked. On the survey sheet there was no indication it was ever examined. Possibly since I drives Ridgeline, they may not have known where to look. Look forward to my next visit in 5000 miles.

I've been working with David Terry for 23 years!! He's honest and easy to work with!! I absolutely trust him with my car and he doesn't try to sell you things you don't need like some places do. And the prices are reasonable. An oil 🛢️ change at Express Oil change is around $80. An oil change at Shottenkirk is around $55. At least it is for my Civic SI. I've had 2 Honda Civics in 23 years and I wouldn't trust anyone else to do work on them! I only use the one on Bob Wallace to service my cars!!!

Had a great experience at my recent service appointment. Everyone was very helpful, they took great care of my car and it was ready when they said it would be. I really enjoy having this location still open to service my Honda, and would hate to see it go away. I’m not sure where I would go if they closed this one, but I am sure that I don’t want to have to drive all the way over to the west end of 72 to get my oil changed.

Glad I had the warranty. They replaced my battery and washed the car. They try to vacuum if it's not too much of a mess. But it's awesome they got it fixed. It was almost 2 hours to get it all done.Update, got new tires and it did take almost 2 hours. Service was friendly at least and they had snacks.

I will not return. I brought my Honda ridgeline here due to needing mechanical work done. I had an appointment on Tuesday morning to drop my truck off for inspection. It was not inspected until Thursday evening. No one called to inform me of anything concerning my vehicle, I placed multiple calls to the office with run around and even left a voice mail without any call back. Then once my truck is repaired on Friday I arrive to pick up the vehicle and there is no inspection sheet or any type of information regarding what was performed. Just a payment sheet. I couldn’t leave without paying and there was no way of finding out any more information. Highly dissatisfied and will not even returning.

Service department manager David Terry and Team did an excellent diagnosis of the cause of my 2017 CRV dashboard sensor lights always coming on and staying on. They fixed the problem that afternoon! No problems whatsoever! Great work Honda service team. Glad to have the Bob Wallace Service Center able to serve the Huntsville Honda owners, especially those who live in South Huntsville! Driving to the Highway 72/University Drive/Madison Honda location is not helpful to the many thousands who live in Huntsville. Please keep the Bob Wallace location open. Thank you.

I've had my car serviced with Brian Schafer twice now and he is just great! (Hes at the Acura location now) Doesn't try to get me to repair more than I ask for, fast and accurate diagnosis, reasonable prices, friendly, very fast turn around time. Car broke down at 630pm yesterday and it was ready to drive at 930am the next morning! The service ladies at the Honda center were just as sweet as always. They are my go-to from now on!

I had to have a transponder key made for my early model Accord. All staff I came into contact with were friendly and professional. The waiting area was very impressive - free snacks and beverages. There is even a quiet room for reading or studying - no cell phone conversations. The price of the key was naturally higher because it is a dealership, but that fact also insured quality and reliability. I was in and out in less than an hour, a big plus! Recommended for this service.

I will take my Honda van here when I need service . They were super fast and didn't charge me an arm and a leg!!! They listened to my husband and I and was very respectful. I can't remember the guys name that assisted us but I would definitely recommend him! Maybe RT or RJ? Anyways, I give them 5 stars 🌟 and I would recommend anyone who reads my review to go there when you need some kind of service. Oh and it was very clean inside and out !!! I felt safe being there with all the germs and viruses that are going around right now!

Service was great, nice, comfortable lounge with snacks, but I removed a star because of the carwash. Its good that we get free car wash, but if you're going to do that, please do a decent job, doesn't have to be a detail. Twice my car has been washed at Honda when I took it for service, half-decent job on both occasions, that could improve.

They listen very well. I am a used car dealer for 22 years. When I find a service bulletin, or recall, they respond well, taking care of the issue, and they are not terrible, trying to upsell me hundreds of dollars worth of service I don't need, like many service departments are taught to do. And they have the best shuttle drivers in town. 😘

I am so thankful that we have the Bob Wallace location for the people that live downtown or Hampton Cove area or Southeast Huntsville! I am so glad they kept this open as our service area. The TECHS and the service is always so top notch!! I REALLY APPRECIATE ALL THE GOOD SERVICE THAT YOU OFFER US!!! Thank you SHOTTENKIRK FOR KEEPING THIS LOCATION FOR US!!

The Best! Fast friendly service, from the porter, to the service advisor (David Terry) , to the cashier. Everyone is efficient and things always seem to run smoothly. David always listens to my concerns and makes sure everything is taken care of and always keeps me updated. Highly recommend Jerry Damson Honda and especially David Terry in the Service Dept.

went in for a recall repair. Specifically asked them not to wash the car due to how damaging those auto car washes can be to the paint, causing swirls and the fact that I had just washed it yesterday.Service advisor put it on the ticket “DO NOT WASH" and car was washed anyway.They are either in such a hurry they don't have time to read their service tickets in full (scary) or they just don't give a s**t. How hard can it be to follow a simple request? For this place, it's apparently too difficult to do.

I can only hope that I get a survey from Honda on my experience at Shottenkirk Honda Service in Huntsville (Bob Wallace location). Because my experience was TERRIBLE. I had an appointment at 8:15am this morning to get my A/C looked at. I made it clear that I needed the car back this afternoon. I hadn’t heard from them, so I called at 2:30pm. I was told my service advisor was with another customer and that I should leave a message and he would call me back. He didn’t. So after an eye doctor appointment nearby, I drove over around 3:30pm to check on it. After they located my service advisor, he looked at the computer and then went out in their shop. Then he told me they had not even pulled it in to look at it. If you know me, you know I give a lot of grace to people and to businesses, especially now, and it takes me a lot to get really mad. But they did it. I got my key and took my car and will not go back. 100% do not recommend.
