ShopRite of Marlton - the very best employees providing the very best service. Written by a newly confirmed customer for life. On Saturday, July 27th, I experienced the highest level of customer service and dedication to helping customers well beyond simply doing one’s job. I visited ShopRite of Marlton around 8:00 Saturday evenings. About 2 hours later, I was at home and could not find my new iPad. After throughly looking around the house to no avail, I became concerned . After activating the “find my phone” feature of the iPad, I was able to determine that the iPad was located at ShopRite of Marlton. I immediately called the store but no one had turned in the iPad . I drove to ShopRite right away despite the fact that the store closed at 10:00. Upon arriving at ShopRite, the store was closed but some employees remained. I met Mike Ottinger, the night time manager . Mike took it upon himself to help my daughter and I locate my iPad. I had strong suspicions that it would be found in a cart within the car corral I used earlier. Mike along with Alex, another ShopRite employee, literally moved & inspected dozens of shopping carts from the cart corral where I returned my shopping cart 2 hours prior. No iPad was found. I was very disappointed and thought the iPad was permanently lost. However, Mike looked at the activated “find my phone” map and with some ingenious detective work became convinced the iPad was inside ShopRite. Even after checking in customer service with no iPad found, Mike was undeterred. With other employees now aware of the iPad search, and Mike’s suspected location within the store, Mike suggested that I ping the iPad causing it to ring. Jose from the overnight team heard the iPad ringing in produce, and brought it to Mike. Thanks to Mike and a couple of other wonderful employees willing to help a customer in need, I was reunited with an expensive iPad that I couldn’t afford to replace. There are not enough kind words to express my gratitude for the absolutely wonderful effort and results from at three spectacular employees of ShopRite of Marlton, Mike, Jose, & Alex.
