Word to the wise, be very weary of this dealer when buying used cars. And before you say it out loud when you look at the attached photos, no I was not drunk when I purchased this vehicle. The cars were very narrowly parked in the left of the lot on a scorching hot day. After shimmying around the car trying to do a look around, I took the car for a test drive. Upon returning, I was directed back into a narrow spot. In hindsight, I should have stopped somewhere else and did an unrushed visual inspection.
After purchase, once I got home, I noticed the damage in the photos. I think the dent and scratch might have been in the glare of the sun and I just missed it. The tire damage I never would have seen. I immediately called my salesman, “CH”, and he was very incredulous. He said it is completely on the customer to see this, and they do a 150-point inspection before putting these cars out. Yeah right.
t ended up being a $2500 mistake on my part. Other Honda dealers that I got body work quotes on were SHOCKED that Route 22 Honda even had this out for sale in this condition. Each said they would try to make it right in this situation with a customer. One even suggested I call Honda Corporate and register a complaint. I tried emailing the GM, Ed Garcia……crickets. And good luck with their “customer support” line, they never pick up and the voice mailbox is full.
The final salt in the wound was I wanted to use this for family trips and install a roof rack and roof box. Once I started this install, my mechanic noticed the screw holes were rusted out on the roof rails. Again, nothing from Mr. Garcia or my salesman CH. I really thought long and hard about posting this review, because it illustrates my stupidity and haste, but if I can help one unsuspecting potential customer from a purchase like this, it is worth it.
