In the past I have dropped off shirts/hats to put logo's on them for my business which has always been great work until recently. They sent me the logo proof which has been the same they've had on file for years. I dropped off 75 shirts to get logo'd. they ended up subbing out the logo printing for the shirts to a 3rd party (which from my understanding hasn't been done in the past). The logos did not match the proof that I had approved. I brought this up to the owner upon pick up. The owner refused to say that the logos are incorrect, as he states "these logos look exactly the same" (see photos below on previous work vs current work). The owner and I agreed, that I will pay half which I did, and he would redo the shirts and order the new shirts and no additional cost to me. I insisted that I would take them as is, but I'm not paying full price for botched work. He said he would donate the misprinted shirts to charity and pay for the new shirts plus reprinting the logos properly. He needed help with ordering the exact shirts, I went on to the website that I ordered from and put them in the cart on his desktop computer and advised him all he has to do is put in his shipping info and credit card and left. Fast forward 2 months later (I've called in between, but did not get a response) he calls me out of the blue and says I owe him for the work. I asked him for what work, Ive never received the final product? He then accuses of me shipping them to my house or a different location on his credit card and I explained to him how could I have done that if I didn't have your credit card info and I left everything in the cart on the website for you to finish up at your office. He advised me to call the website, I told him I couldn't because his information was used and that he would need to call because his business info was used. (he also billed me for shirts that I already brought in and paid for from the website I purchased from). As he's talking over me with a raised voice, he continued to accuse me of shipping them to a different location. I said as a business owner your being very unprofessional and he then proceeded to say he will send me to collections and court, though I have not received the final product. We will settle this in court if needed.
In regards to the pics: logo on the hat is correct, logo on the shirt that matches the hat is also previous work and the logo that looked like a 6 year old did was the work they tried to present and say they match, though it does not match the proof that I approved of. I would not recommend this business, and what ever agreements you make, be sure to get in writing to protect yourself. Going forward I will try another local business.
