I was driving by and saw this dealership had a specific model of Subaru that I wanted... I've been considering buying and have been shopping around for one heavily. I've been here before, and the previous salesman was really nice, so I pulled in and gave the car a quick lookover... I liked the car, but nobody walked out to greet me, so I walked up and found they have a new salesman I'm not familiar with and he was finishing up with another customer.I waited around, as it's rude to interrupt, and then approached as he finished up with the other customer. I go to talk to the dude about the car and ask questions, but he really didn't even answer them all that much. He was very vague in answering... Since I already knew a bit about the car from personal research, I brushed it off and asked if it'd be possible to test drive the car before closing. I was fully intending on coming back to purchase the car the next morning earlier in the day... as I usually don't like to be the guy that holds people up right before closing. Upon asking for a test drive, the guy basically began to seemingly be getting rude and even stated they "don't allow test drives on that 'specific type of' car" even though it's a relatively normal run of the mill Subaru model. I was genuinely interested in buying the car, but since the salesman was rude, I'll most likely be taking my business and money elsewhere. If you're a respectable dealership and trust your product, you should allow your customers the ability to test drive it to ensure the vehicle is properly operational.
