There are a huge number of options available and types to purchase making it all the more difficult. I called the PSS store randomly and first spoke with Angelina who was very kind but said she couldn't help me with any technical info which turned out to be incorrect because she was able to
find out the difference in the lift master models I was checking out. For instance she was able to decipher the differences in linear gate movement capabilities, such as the weight capacities etc. The more I found out about some of the liftmaster specs, such as they make a lot of operators for other companies , and there are a few companies that make 90% of the water heaters in the USA under different brand names and liftmaster is one of those companies that make gate openers for many companies
Needing some technical info I was transferred to Jeff, one of the most knowledgeable people I have ever spoken to. If someone reads this review and is in the market for a gate opener, they can discover what I did, some knowledgeable people that can make their decision a lot easier, Jeff was super and I can't thank him enough for him helping me the way he did. So now I can wait for my operator to come and in addition he told me that a separate cable can be put in the trench to allow push button operation to open and close it without using a wireless remote control.
