Read MoreMy husband and I came down to Prescott for a 2-day anniversary celebration from Phoenix. We decided to do the Prescott Ebike tour for something fun to do while we were there. My husband booked the tour the day we left Phoenix , Sept. 18th (1 hr. drive to Prescott), well he accidentally booked it for the day we left instead of the next day. Our appointment was at 1:00, an employee of Prescott Ebike called us at 1:10 to ask us if we were still coming for the bike tour. I told him it was for the next day, and he said no it was made for the 18th, realizing my husband booked the 18th and not 19th, I ask him if we could just rebook the next day, and we were sorry for the mix-up. He said that was fine and that was that. Well about 10 minutes later the owner, Tony called and said there was a $40 dollar rebooking fee!! Which I thought was crazy, a single, 2-hour bike ride is $60 dollars. He said they had to charge me a re-booking fee because he had someone wanting to rent a bike and they had set bikes aside for us. This is ridiculous, first off, his employee should be aware of such a charge, and second nowhere in the email they sent us or on their website is mentioned of ANY REBOOKING FEE!! We both were really pissed off about this already spending $138.00 for a 2-hour rental. I tried to just go ahead and cancel it altogether, but Tony said we would not be refunded, because of the cancelation time frame. We had just booked the trip about 2 hours prior. I also, asked him if we could just head over there now, because we were only about 15 minutes to their location, he said no. Tony did take $10 off the $40 and said, "I hope this helps" NO it did not!! He gave us upgraded seats, which were still hard, and my husband front tire was worn. When we got there the next day, there was only one person who had rented a bike besides us, I am pretty sure that the 18th being a Wednesday, was not busy either. I don't feel we should have been charged the extra $30, especially since there is no mention of a re-booking fee. We certainly won't be back and will let our friends know who also go down to Prescott about this place. The only reason I gave it 2 stars is the guy at the location was very nice and went over instructions well.
