Terrible shopping experience.
First off, let me start by saying, I am not normally one to leave reviews. Also, I'm pretty easy going and have had a lot of rude experiences in customer service settings, like anyone, that I have let go because I try to see things from other people's perspectives before I take things personally. I have also worked in a customer service setting in a small store where a personalized shopping experience is encouraged. While working at this store I was able to read my customers and be able to tell if they were needing my assistance or if they would rather shop on their own. With that said, this was one of the worst shopping experiences I have ever had; and yes I read your other reviews and the responses to those reviews and I'm fully aware that the stylists make rounds every 5 minutes and most of your customers "love it" which from the reviews I find hard to believe. Yes some of your customers may love it but some of your customers also hate it.
When I walked in the store I was greeted by Alli, who was absolutely wonderful, she was very sweet, we had good banter and she told me to let her know if I needed anything and she left me to do my shopping. While I was shopping I received a phone call. Now, I believe it is very discourteous to be on the phone while you are checking out, which I was not, I was shopping on my own time. I also was not being loud or obnoxious while I was on the phone because I believe that that too is very discourteous to the people around you. While I was on the phone I was interrupted by a different stylist who I didn't get the name of. Instead of realizing that I was on the phone and leaving me to finish my conversation she instead interrupts my phone call and asks me if I would like her to put anything on hold for me and I told her no thank you and she said "Are you sure?" and I said "Yes, I'm good" and she said again "Are you sure?" and I said "Yes thank you." Now, I am person enough to admit that maybe if this were just a regular "Hey- hi -how you doing?" sort of phone call that maybe I wouldn't be so upset but this was not that type of phone call, this was a "Hey, I heard that someone you love in a different state has been in a terrible accident and I'd be happy to help with your kids if you would like to go see them" type of phone call but instead of being able to thank my family member for being willing to help me I am interrupted so that someone could put three items on hold for me. This experience made me feel like I was not allowed to carry three items around because perhaps they are are so worried about loss prevention that they don't want anyone carrying anything around the store at all. This experience also made me feel very unwelcome and very upset that I was not shown the same courtesy that I was showing to everyone else in the store. I feel that it is incredibly rude to interrupt people while they are on the phone and if you do it by accident you should apologize and walk away but clearly this stylist saw that I was on the phone and persisted to try and "help me" when I was clear that I did not want help. Also because I read the reviews and the responses to those reviews I would not like a response to this review because I feel that the reviews are very defensive which leads me to believe that the same person that's being complained about in the reviews is also the same person writing the responses so instead please take the constructive criticism to read your customers and show them common courtesy rather than badger them because any good business owner knows that customers are what run the business.
