I’ve used Petco’s online services before & it usually takes 15-35 mins for my order to be received. No big deal. I usually show up early, get my order from the shelf, & bring it to the counter. I’ve worked in retail before so I know how it can get overwhelming & not have a chance to get an order on time. That’s what I did, again, because I do not mind it at all. This time, I let an employee know-I did not know ANY of the employees that day. This person told me it takes an hour to receive my order & LEFT me at the front counter! So I waited over 15 mins at the counter where I was left. Another employee came over & asked if I needed help. I told him what was going on. He told me the same thing. Weird because the last times I did this, there were two certain employees (who actually take care of their customers) who were so awesome & stayed on top of the issue & my order when through long before an hour. Still my order was not checked on. So I took time to work on training, even though my service dog in training hasn’t worked on a flat collar, we still did a little heeling work. After 30 mins, no one had still checked on my order! We made it back to the front to wait again. Still no one checked my order! The first employee walks up, “tries” to check my order as I’m standing at the first register, then pages yet another employee to come up to check & says “ma’am, I can get you at this register.” The customer behind me was waiting so patiently. So I side step to the next register to wait. The woman walks up, calls the male employee by name, & said “well he didn’t help you? I assumed he did.” I told her I didn’t know who she was talking about & no. At this point, 45 mins later, I was furious as my mental health has gone down a lot & I wasn’t having a good day. I was just about to say forget it when she sees ONE customer behind the lady checking out & calls to him, “I can get the next customer.” So again I was pushed to the side. I ended up standing in the middle of the freaking store, waiting again. It was embarrassing & my anxiety was getting unbearable. This incident was completely uncalled for & NO customer should be pushed to the side twice. Then just left at the front waiting until another employee saw & came up to see if I needed help.....absolutely the worst customer service I have EVER received at Petco. The two employee that actually care were not there this day. So I will be dealing with PetSmart more often as they have my dogs’ food as well. Plus I’ve spent well over $100 & have yet to receive my $5 off. That’s ok though. I’ll be happy to take my business to the other side of town. Thank you.
