Very disappointing. I was hoping for a great experience with PVC but it was quite the opposite. We chose to have a fairly simple two tier cake done for our wedding. A photo was shown to make sure the design was doable, to which they agreed. A conversation about macaron cookies came about but I later emailed them to tell them we weren’t interested in the cookies. They were removed from the invoice and it was updated to which I paid immediately after. We also agreed to transport out cake 1.5 hours away. Flash forward to the week of our wedding. I get a call about dropping off fresh flowers for the wedding cake and picking the cake up the morning of the day we needed to drive up to our venue, which was the day before the ceremony. We were told that the contract said we would pick the cake up the morning of our wedding almost two hours away when the employee made it seem like what we thought was a pickup for the day before the ceremony like we agreed on. Finally the pickup was agreed upon for the day before the ceremony after telling them that the day of was not possible. The day of pickup is where it gets worse. We see the cake, not impressed with the look of the cake. It really didn’t look sharp and clean on the edges or what the reference photo looked like either. The employee put it in a box and put her finger in the top tier leaving a big finger print in the top. The box the two tier cake was put in for a cake to travel in was unacceptable. The cake was out in a sheet cake box that you get from Walmart or Sam’s Club, so the cake didn’t even fit in the box nor could it close. The employee said that we could do this and that to make it work and it was not good. After leaving with our cake and had been on the road for 30 minutes, we received a call saying we forget to get the macarons and would have to meet them to get them from them… I told the employee that it was communicated via e-mail that we didn’t want macarons and we didn’t even pay for them on our invoice. I’m not sure why there is so much confusion at this establishment but it needs to be better internally and externally. I’m so disappointed in our experience as I thought it was going to be simple and easy but it was certainly not.
