Original review: I bought a new scooter from Ootys that turned out to be a lemon. After 6 repair attempts they were unable to work with the manufacturer to secure a replacement and unwilling to consider an exchange or trade in. When I complained the manager told me I should be grateful that they provided free towing and had not refused me service. In the end I had to retain an attorney to negotiate a repurchase agreement with the manufacturer. All this happened while the bike was under warranty. Ootys was 100% willing to milk the repairs until the warranty expired and stick me with a $4K loss. Basically their attitude was that it wasn’t their problem. Don't go there -- they don't value their customers and don't deserve the business.
Reply to Ootys’ comment: I’m not surprised to learn you’re just as dismissive of reviews as you are of your customers. But hey, it’s your reputation. We’ve been over this a hundred times. I dropped the bike. You checked it out and replaced a few scratched panels. A year went by. Then the mechanical problems started. You told me repeatedly that if you couldn’t fix it you’d replace it. Then you couldn’t and didn’t. So the "crash" is beside the point -- the issue is that you led me to believe you'd fix or replace the scooter for a year, wasted a huge amount of my time going back and forth for repairs, and then backed out when I pressed you on following through.
