I would like to say that even though the staff was polite, there's something going on wrong with this store and I the customer feel like I got scammed.
So story is I went to return a few things that didn't fit back to the store and have it credited back to my Old Navy credit card. Well no one could help me because my transaction on the stores end showed up as "transaction canceled". I was informed at the time because I didn't want to take a store credit at the time that, Thomas, the manager that evening would contact someone about this because this isn't the first time at that store a transaction shows up canceled when it actually wasn't. This was 15thDec2023. Well I returned on Sunday the 17th and was greeted by a different manager that went to the back, came out and told me again I could only do a store credit. So not only am I forced to incure interest on my credit card for items I don't need but I now can only be forced to purchase an additional 65 dollars through their company's. I was also questioned with, " well we don't know if it went on your card", I took that as they were implying I was trying to lie and comment fraud. I was also instructed to cancel my Old Navy credit card with them just so this doesn't happen again, even though she told me she's not suppose to say that. I then proceeded like I did days before to log into my account and show them the transaction date and total as shown on the receipt. Luckily I don't really use this card but there it was the exact amount of my balance was that on the receipt purchase that evening, the manager even used my phone and scrolled down to check the details. The issue I have is One, forcing someone to just spend more money is absolutely wrong and is a scam from the company in my opinion. Second, I don't believe anyone called anyone. Three, I don't think their admitted issue with transactions at this location is being addressed, computer glitch or not, the returned items should have been credited to my account and I should not be forced to accept this resolve because of a lack of management oversight. Now I can use the credit to buy Christmas stuff I guess, but i had zero intentions or needs to do so at these places, so that was the only saving grace, it's Christmas time but canceling my card doesn't help anything, it hurts only my credit, so I won't be doing that. Someone needs to look into this store, located in the Waikele Shopping center:94-815 Lumiaina Street

I hope someone takes the time and effort to look into this so it doesn't continue to happen as it was stated has been happening, insider fraud maybe? My next step will be to file a formal complaint with corporate on this issue.
