***Leaving out MOST names for privacy*** Jan 7th, told have to return next week hardly b.c. of the Eaton fire, but rather it seems my request for same day service, per a seemingly moody (but maybe he was concerned?) service advisor who I was told, "don't think he is here" today but he was because he made it clear my request was, "not possible". Said advisor then gave my paperwork to an undesired advisor, who was sitting next to assigned advisor (who hardly looked busy), to assist me with scheduling a return appointment w/ a loaner car reserved. Jan 14th, returned again, it appears the undesirable advisor is now permanently assigned to my car, why? Moving on, let's talk about the loaner car, I was loaned an UNCLEANED LOANER car with dried and crusted liquid stains on the central console, idrive controller panel, (pics below) given to me by person who self-identified as the MANAGER of the loaner department, admitting the car was "a little dirty". The MANAGER, SAY WHAT? What happened to hygiene, integrity, QUALITY customer service, HYGIENE? Did we just live through a pandemic? Anyhow, back to the new, undesired advisor. In my opinion, this person seemed incompetent b.c. they gave me 3 different price estimates regarding the TOTAL cost of repairs. VERBALLY I was told $3,600 just for the MAIN concern, THEN it was $4,640 for the TOTAL cost of repairs. Oh, but wait they ended by saying this NEGLECTS TO INCLUDE the oil change, etc, so the TOTAL IS $5,307. What? WHAT DOES TOTAL MEAN, sum of prices? Thus, I HAD TO ASK FOR something in WRITING to demonstrate LACK OF PRICE TRANSPARENCY or INCOMPETENCY, whichever or BOTH. Additionally, the undesired service advisor never responded to my text messages and also did a poor job of informing me of the status of my vehicle, they only called on the 1st OR 2nd and the sixth day my car was in BMW's possession. Now comes the day of the car pickup, I receive an e-invoice for a FOURTH PRICE, $5,364. How efficient BMW Alhambra is, what is BMW's motto besides the "Ultimate driving machine", the word's are on my car manual, EFFICIENCY. OH!!! To add, got a push notification to bring car in for appointment at Alhambra dealership, while it was already at the dealership. Huh? I digress, back to the advisor who seemed belligerent when I complained about the discrepancies, cutting me off, and then telling me "what you saw" (how would they know?) is due to their inability to adjust the invoice before receipt of payment b.c. they had to deal with "an insurance case" that day. What did THAT have to do with me? Plus, EFFICIENCY would ensure I received the CORRECT invoice the FIRST time; what if I had paid the final invoice without saying something? Whatever, Jan 23rd, left a message for the so-called service manager, James, who never returned my call, no shocker based on how my experience had been up to that point. I did note, it (poor service) starts from the TOP down. To boot, after picking up my car, I realized on my way home that my favorite CD, yes, CD, was missing though I left it in the CD player. Thankfully, the CD was returned, but I had to make a third trip. Overall, it was the WORST service I have received from BMW. Monrovia's staff, mainly a female service advisor, is the rudest, but even they have delivered higher quality service. Pacific BMW often forgets I am present to pick up my car (AFTER checking-in), but even they have delivered a higher quality service, with a full tank of gas (years ago, unsure if still valid) and a higher quality/effective car wash, unlike Alhambra - black spots on driver side... My Alhambra experience was UNACCEPTABLE. Yes BMW, I intend to buy another vehicle similar to the SUV loaner, but it will be at either Monrovia or Pacific BMW. I also have a pic and video of the loaner car w/ its license plate and a date stamp in case the dealership wants to argue the car pics are false. Thank you.
