MOCRA is a one-of-a-kind art museum found on SLU's campus. My sister and I visited on a Friday morning into early afternoon to view their Vicente Telles and Brandon Maldonado: Cuentos Nuevomexicanos and the permanent exhibitions. The pieces were very moving, the hall well-lit and partitioned, and the curator kind and informative.
I'm eager to return for the next exhibit, whatever it will be. I believe they bring in new pieces each semester.
Entrance is free, but a donation is recommended. Not sure what the solution to this is, but parking was difficult to navigate as the museum is on campus, not near any lots. We parked beside the Coronado and walked a quarter of a mile to reach the musuem, using Google Maps to guide our walk.
