Steer clear! I’m a general contractor. I have been in business for over 20 years. I use Benjamin Moore and Sherwin-Williams regularly. I was put in a spot and had to use the store. I went into the store and paid upfront for everything we used. I purchased the paint under the account for KBLLC. Approximately two weeks after I finish the job, this paint store reaches out to me to let me know that I have an open invoice. Impossible, considering I paid for everything before I left. I reach out to them, and they tell me that my card was declined. I told him that’s not true, my financial institution shows the purchase in my record. They said they would call me back. They did, and they said that somebody came in and picked up 2 gallons but did not pay for it. I said impossible, I picked up the paint. I paid for everything. I have receipts. I told them they need to provide a record for me and email it. I did not hear back from them. Instead, they reached out to the owner of the account, KBLLC, and told them the balance was open. This prompted the owner of the account to not pay us. I had my office assistant dig through our receipts. We contacted the paint store, it turns out it was a mistake on their end. They say they charged for someone else's paint on accident. A mistake they could’ve very easily figured out without having to strong-arm everyone. My company is not your guys personal fact finding service. I am still not paid on my project. This paint problem was a huge factor on why were not paid. Steer clear of Mount Prospect Paint, KBLLC, and John Biebrach. No honor in them.
