Picked a frame off the shelf. Associate measures it and says with a little trimming, it should fit into the frame. She was incorrect. I brought the frame back 20 minutes later and they told me I could not return it if I had not purchased a protection plan. To be clear, the frame was in brand new condition. I had only peeled off the shrink wrap. Needing a protection plan to return an item is ridiculous. I should not have to pay to return something. I would not have to do so at any other retailers. I will need to get the picture custom framed, however, I will be bringing my business elsewhere. Michaels is losing a customer because they don’t know how to treat customers. I’ll just use the frame that they did not let me return for something else.
