I would not go there again even if was paid to do so. We were on a road trip with my wife and 5 year old when the engine started overheating. I stopped, checked and the coolant was almost entirely empty. Instead of just driving to the closest Love’s (5min away) and adding coolant I added tap water, then drove to Love’s and bought 3 bottles of coolant. Then I realized that I’d rather have a pro mechanic do the flush and add the coolant, just in case. Saw that this shop had great reviews and got there. Explained the situation and the rest you can find below:Communication: 0 out of 5: They told me they would call me in 1hr. They did not. I Called them in 1h10m and asked for info. No news and did not tell me when they would call back. Then 2h30m after I dropped off the car I called again and they told me that the car will be ready in 20min.Sticking to the deal: 0 out of 5: when I got to the shop they had already added their own coolant and they did not use the coolant I had bought from Love’s. I specifically told them twice that I had coolant and they told me that once they figure out if there is a leak they will call me (which they never did — see above) and then we can discuss which coolant to addHonestly: 0 out of 5: Once I got to the shop they told me that they did not find a leak. So I asked how come the coolant was gone. They told me that sometimes if the radiator cap is not good the coolant escapes from there. So they had ordered a “good” cap which they are waiting for now. Yes, that was 3hours after drop-off!!!!! Guy calls supposedly the spare parts dealer to see where the part is. Then turns to his kid, tells him in Spanish (so I wouldn’t understand) to go across the street and get a cap from somewhere (I could not catch the last bit, as my Spanish is rusty). Sure enough, the kid immediately walks away and 2min later comes with a brand new cap in his hands.Price: 1 out of 5: I had to spend $280 for a leak test (that at this point I am not sure it even happened) and coolant that I did not ask for (I told them I had bought coolant myself and that it is in the trunk twice)Summary: Took too long, zero communication, felt I was getting f@cked with. Will NEVER go again to that shop.I challenge them to contest my points one by one.Such bullcrap experience….

I honestly want to give these guys a 5 star because while we were there it was a good experience but it turned into a nightmare.We were driving from LA back to Chico on the 5N when my car check engine light started blinking and my bf started losing power. We immediately got off the freeway and pulled over. This was the third place we called, the second that answered and the first that could get us in. We were ecstatic! Irwin was soooo nice, helpful and sympathetic.We told them what happened.After running several tests on the car and driving it himself; the codes on the car weren't reflecting our experience nor was Irwins own driving of the vehicle.They said the oil was crazy low, topped us off, reset the check engine light, charged us $110 for the report and said that the car was safe enough to make it back to chico and that it will be fine but to have someone take a look at it sooner than later. Great. We trusted him: assumed that since he couldn't replicate what we described and he drove the car that we were good to go.Wrong.Less than 15 minutes later the car not only had the check engine light blinking but the entire rest of the car had all the warning lights go on and eventually shut off. NOW not only does it not drive but it also has a metal sound that didn't exist before.I should also mention that my car window worked fine prior to pulling it in but somehow it's now not working and costing me an extra $500 to repair.It was obvious to me that the car had serious issues and yet we were recommended to drive it back.Needless to say, it made whatever issues my car had worsen.This led to a 3 hour wait time for a tow, and a 3 hour tow ride home to our destination.Although the report was only $100 I feel like I got ripped off as it obviously doesn't reflect our actual issues and Irwin sent us on our way. I recognize it wasn't his fault he couldn't emulate what we were describing but I felt ignored when he said he couldn't feel what we were feeling and then it happened 10 minutes later. Also, my window was working prior to bringing it to these guys, now it's not. $500 later and it will be fixed. Thanks for the additional out of pocket expenses.

So last year (2018) i was on my way to Oregon from San Diego, it was 11 pm at night and i had just gotten north of Patterson when my transmission gave out. i had it towed to his shop on Saturday morning, he diagnosed and confirmed major transmission failure and he could order parts but wouldn't be there until Tuesday earliest, i had no car and needed to be in Oregon so he let me drive his personal vehicle with my husband to Modesto, California which is about a half hour away to get a rental vehicle to continue my journey. I got the rental and was on my way to Oregon to pick up a family member, he made sure to give me a call every day with an update on parts and since the truck was in his shop for a week he also did fluid and wire changes, upon returning to his shop that Friday, in which i was running super late, he stayed at his shop until 10 pm at night waiting for me to arrive, he said " I'm always here" but i still think 10 pm is very late. i get to the shop and we are finalizing everything, which was very fair priced and far better than anything within 100 miles at least, my card declines and says I've reached my limit, i'm kinda freaking out because at this point we just want to be back in San Diego. Irwine insist its fine and we could pay in the morning after a bank visit after waiting all night for us. We drop of the rental, go to the bank and Irwine was there waiting and greeted us, he also 100 percent ensured me i would have no car issues on my way home. i made the payment and went on my way, i feel bad that it has taken me so long to write this review but at the same time i'm glad because my truck is still running strong as ever with no slips and i'm thankful for his great and honest work. So if you ever are in need in this area and need help Irwine is your man, he instilled my trust that there is good people, he even took the time upon leaving to give me his reason, he said he was driving and same thing happened, he broke down in the middle of no where, with no tools, with one shop around. the guy lived near by and saw him and let him inside his shop and let him make his own repairs the next day free of charge he said his kindness was an inspiration to be as helpful as he could to anyone, ill admit i'm young and new traveler and this put a major damper on traveling for me but he really brought to life my love for traveling and ensured me their are good people who will help if i'm ever in trouble and don't know anyone around and for that i am thankful..Thank you Irwine. ill never forget what you did for the family
