Wife took her care in about a year ago because of a radio issue. Screen showed “Uconnect issue, take to dealership” along with the radio turning off, going black, disconnecting from phones, etc. She took it to the dealership and they said she needed a new radio, so we paid a $200 deductible, had it “replaced” (not even 100% sure it was replaced because there wasn’t event a spec of dust missing from the dashboard or any sign work had been done.) The next day, same issue. They said we needed to drop it off for a few days for them to diagnose it again. We weren’t able to leave it because they didn’t have a loaner car available and my wife couldn’t go without a car.Fast forward to now, we’re finally able to get it back up there. I take it myself this time because I feel like they tried to take advantage of my wife. Same issue, same error message. They had it for several days, and when we call to get an update, “the diagnosing system is down”. Then when we finally get a response, they say “we aren’t able to duplicate the problem” which is funny because the message pops up every single morning. I tell them we will pick it up on Saturday and go somewhere else, show up and nobody can find the keys. Go back again Monday, finally get the keys, turn on the car and sure enough, there’s the message “uconnect issue take to dealership”. I go in and have a service tech come take a look at the message and ask how they expect me to believe anything they said about not being able to duplicate the problem when it’s right there. The phone calls that we did receive were the service department trying to get us to trade it in, a 3 year old vehicle, instead of worrying about fixing it.Also, the car is due for an oil change. Never had a dealership service dept not even recommend getting an oil change and topping off other fluids, but they never mentioned it once. On top of that, when we pick up the car, low tire pressure. Didn’t even have the common curtesy to put air in the tires.Needless to say, we will not be dealing with McLarty Daniel in the future, and highly recommend for anyone to find any other mechanic with a pulse before taking your vehicle here.
