I placed an order via the McDonald's app for curbside pickup. Upon arriving at the location, I tapped the "I'm Already Here" button and began to wait. Two people that had arrived after I did received their curbside orders and mine was nowhere in sight. After waiting 15 minutes after tapping the button to say I was there, I called the restaurant to inquire about my order. I was told it would be right out. A moment later, a McDonald's employee came out with my order, and the first thing he said to me right after confirming my name was "you didn't tell us you were here". I still had the app open on my phone and tried to show him that I had, in fact, told them I arrived. He ignored me and reiterated that I did not tell them I was there because there "was no number". Once again, I tried to let him know that I had pressed the button in the app, and he only said "there was no number".
So, for using the McDonald's app, which now I know to be incredibly unreliable (I caution anyone else to just use drive-thru), I received old food and was all but called a liar by a McDonald's employee. To be fair, I've never worked in the fast food business, but I was not aware that their business model included discouraging repeat business and insulting clientele. To anyone considering this particular McDonald's, I would recommend you pick another. There are plenty others to choose from.

Perhaps it's just the desire in me to believe that people will fix their mistakes, but I attempted to get lunch from this McDonald's using the app once again. Shockingly, the very same thing happened!
After all this time, not only did McDonald's not fix the issues with their app, but they response was even more insulting. The manager spoke to me as though I were a five year old. After pointing out that they already took money from my bank account for the order that they claimed didn't exist, I was told "That's not how it works. There's no order." As I write this, the charge remains on my bank account for food that I never received.
Once again, I advise anyone who dares to patronize this McDonald's to beware. The customer service I received was insulting, they make the same errors while refusing responsibility, and if this charge on my account is not reversed, they will have actually stolen my money. Ever since the store came under new ownership, the errors have multiplied and the response to said errors has become more belligerent and dismissive. If you want a McDonald's that respects you as a customer, it is not this one.
