Read MoreI would give ZERO stars to this place if I could. I had the absolute worst experience with Mavericks of Santa Fe and will NEVER shop there again. I purchased a dining set from them, and they promised it would be delivered by the end of the month. From the moment I left the store, everything went downhill.
First, the delivery date was pushed back twice without any notice. Then, on a weekend out of town with my family, I received a last-minute call from the company saying the driver would be arriving in a few hours. I had to rush home to be there for the delivery, only to find that when the driver arrived, he was alone. I expected a team to unload and move the furniture into the house, but instead, I walked out to find everything unloaded on my front lawn. The driver wasn’t even planning to bring the items inside — I was told I would have to move everything myself. I'm 7 months pregnant and my husband is a disabled veteran, so this was not only unreasonable, it was downright unsafe. When I immediately called the company to complain, I also noticed that some of the items were damaged during delivery. Instead of helping me, they refused to take the items back for repair and basically dismissed my concerns.
After repeatedly calling and being passed around from salesman to salesman, I finally got in touch with the manager, who was incredibly rude. Not only did he blame me for the damage, but he also had the nerve to tell me I was “too poor to afford the items” I had already paid for! This is not only unprofessional but disrespectful. I regret buying from this company and would not recommend them to anyone. They broke their contract, failed to deliver the service promised, and treated me and my husband horribly throughout the entire process. Save yourself the trouble and shop elsewhere.
